With a snap of her fingers, herbs turned as smooth as dust, and Catalina poured water into the mixture. Observing the concoction stirring itself, she walked to a nearby shelf and retrieved three empty vials.

Placing them on the wooden desk, she retrieved a vial of golden dust, famously known as fairy dust—the same substance she had used to heal Lavinia.

This magical substance hastened the effects of black magic and had a similar impact on normal magic, a secret known only to a select few.

Sprinkling it onto the swirling mixture, it glowed briefly. Another snap of her fingers summoned a small chest from her spatial item. With care, she placed the box on the desk and bent close, murmuring indistinct words for a straight 20 seconds until the lock clicked open.

Within the box lay a vial filled with her lord's blood. Uncorking it, she utilized her magic to extract a drop, watching as it fell into the concoction, transforming it into a vibrant rainbow hue.
