As Isabella stood in the garden, watering can in hand, she looked up at the sky and started to ponder. "How many days have gone by since William, Aimee, and I moved here?" she mused aloud to herself. After a moment's mental calculation, she came to the realization that it had been over 31 days. Today was the 32nd day. A whole month had already zipped by since they had settled into this new life.
"Wow, time really has flown by," she said, still somewhat surprised by the swiftness of it all. As she spoke, her eyes moved from the sky to the rich soil and greenery surrounding her. She was standing in the middle of a garden filled with a variety of vegetable plants. Her hands had been busy tending to tomatoes, potatoes, onions, ginger, salad greens, beans, peas, and radishes, all of which she and Aimee had planted together. The thought of adding even more types of vegetables to this thriving patch of land was already forming in her mind.
