Like a habit, Julian opened the mission list and pleasantly found that a new mission had been issued by the system.
[Practical Combat II]: Defeat 10 people with total value of the four-dimensional attribute is required to be no less than 80 points. Reward: 1,000 PD pts. Current progress: 0/10.
Julian's neat eyebrows curled into a frown as he skimmed over the content of the mission.
The total value of the four-dimensional attribute was not less than 80 points? Wasn't that the level of life energy level 2! The clear condition this time was much higher than that of [Practical Combat I]
"I can't put my plan to visit the martial arts club on hold any longer."
Of course, he wasn't that arrogance to think that he would be able to smoothly clear the mission with his current strength. It was steadier to level up to level 2 before visiting the club. So, Julian decided to do some basic exercises and clear some missions to fill his PD points first.
With his current vitality at 22 points, mere push-ups, sit-ups, and squats were piece of cake and could be completed in short time. On average, he could do 50-60 reps per minutes and he could easily carried on for around twenty or thirty minutes without break.
More than two hours later, Julian finished all three basic missions without much difficulty. A glimpse of his masculine figure was reflected on the mirror hanging on the wall.
He was half-naked, wearing only training pants on his lower half. His well-built and ripped body glistened under the room light, sweat covering all over his body. His current figure was more than enough to drive any ladies back on earth crazy, squealing like horny bitches.
Julian admired his striking appearance for a while before putting his attention back to the mission list. Looking at the completed [Push-Up Expert], [Squat Expert] and [Sit-up Expert], he felt a sense of accomplishment in his heart.
Another 600 PD points had been deposited to his status panel.
Not surprisingly, new missions appeared, replacing the completed one.
[Push-up Master]: Perform 5000 push-ups. Reward: 300 PD pts. Current progress: 0/5000.
[Squat Master]: Perform 5000 squats. Reward: 300 PD pts. Current progress: 0/5000.
[Sit-up Master]: Perform 5000 sit-ups. Reward: 300 PD pts. Current progress: 0/5000.
"Sweet!"
Julian had no idea how long this kind of simple chain mission would continue, but he secretly hoped that it would last for a long time. After all, who didn't like a free money?
Except for the Long-distance Running series, which was still stuck at Elite level, all of the basic exercise missions was already at Expert-level. It couldn't be helped because long-distance running had to be done outside of the room which wasn't as convenient as the other three missions, so Julian had been focusing on the former.
"It looks like I have to find a chance to go out for a run."
After a short rest, Julian opened the exchange shop, and the items on it had been refreshed.
[Lottery ticket: Obtain a random skill, item, or consumable upon usage. Exchange Price: 300 PD points. One-use disposable item.]
[Lottery ticket: Obtain a random skill, item, or consumable upon usage. Exchange Price: 300 PD points. One-use disposable item.]
[Specified Attribute Card: Add 3 points of agility upon usage. Exchange Price: 100 PD points. One-use disposable item.]
"Two same items can appear at the same time?" Julian was startled.
It's a little pity that two lottery tickets showed up together. It'll be better if the one that appeared in bunch was the random MA cards instead. Julian would be able to level up his martial arts if that's the case.
Well, there's no need to cry over something you couldn't control. At least, another good item also there to comfort Julian's broken heart.
A specified attribute card which only cost him 100 PD points.
Julian decisively exchanged the specified attribute card, and then used it immediately. The agility attribute instantly increased to 17 points.
"My strength and vitality are more than 20 points, but my agility and spirit are still several points behind."
If it was an RPG game that had specified growth depending on the class you chose, Julian might prefer to do min-maxing his stats to suit the preferable play. But this was a real life where such a highly specified built might cause him a lot of trouble when facing various kinds of opponents. So, it was better to be all-rounder so he would be more versatile.
If ordinary hunters wanted to balance their four-dimensional attributes, they would most likely end up as a mediocre that was not outstanding in any aspect. But Julian was different, he had the system as his assistance, and he could completely become stronger in all directions!
Without hesitating for too long, Julian quickly made up his mind to find a way to obtain some movement-type martial arts to supplement his low agility stats.
Immediately afterwards, he turned his attention to the spIritual attributes.
"By the way, what kind of exercises do you need to practice increasing your spiritual attributes?"
Among the four-dimensional attributes, spirit can be said to be the least valued attribute by hunter. It was also the most difficult attribute to upgrade. It was vague how the spirit attribute contributed to personal strength. However, since the spirit was classified as a four-dimensional attribute, there must be a use for it. For future consideration, Julian wouldn't ignore the improvement of his spIritual attributes.
"It's a pity, there is only one attribute left to break through to the second level."
The abandoned lottery ticket suddenly caught Julian's attention.
"Let's give it a try?"
Julian glared intently at the exchange button, his gaze hovering over it for along time. He couldn't hold back his curiosity any longer and finally decided to gamble. His heart felt bitter for losing a huge sum of points, but he convinced himself that it would turn out to be fine.
"Extract!"
With Chen Chuan's thought, a roulette with a pointer emerged in front of him instantly. Under Julian's amazed eyes, the roulette spun rapidly, and it took more than ten seconds to stop slowly.
[Obtained two-stars martial arts, 'Flash Steps']
Two-star martial arts?
Julian raised his eyebrows in confusion.
There were divisions in martial arts' grade?
It was something that Julian had never knew before.
Julian rubbed his glabella, feeling an urgency to quickly learned more about the common sense of martial arts in this world.
Turning his attention back to the panel, Julian checked the description of the martial arts. To his surprise, it turned out to be a body movement skill!
"It's really a pie falling from the sky!"
A happy smile appeared on Julian's face. In this way, he would be able to cover his lack of agility. Without second thoughts, Julian immediately learned the martial art skill.
As a skill that came from the system, it was directly infused into his mind, saving him the effort to learn it step by step. Instantly, various vision and insight about the newly acquired skill Flash Step appeared in his mind.

[Martial Arts]

Thunder Fist – Perfection (451/1000)
Flash Step – Beginning (0/200)
"Just to breakthrough the beginning level you need 200 MA proficiency?"
Julian was secretly speechless.
Simply looking at the point required for level up that was almost twice higher compared with two other martial arts he owned, Flash Step technique really wasn't in the same league with Whale Swallowing Breath and Thunder Fist.
"They should be one-star martial arts?" Julian rubbed his chin and shook his head after a while. "Hmm... the Whale Swallowing Breath method may be a little weaker, and it should belong to the bottom of the one-star martial arts."
However, these are only Julian's conjectures, and the details have yet to be verified in the future.
Anyway, the lottery ticket came as a surprise to him. He definitely didn't waste 300 PD point for nothing!
Heaving a sigh of relief, Julian's eyes flickered slightly. His entire body suddenly blurred and vanished to suddenly reappear in a place five or six meters away from his initial position.
In the spacious living room, Julian's figure blinked from left to right, from back to forward, without even leaving an after images. He moved like a phantom, silently, as fast as lightning.
Like a child who just got a new toy, Julian tried it for five or six minutes before stopping.
"As expected of a two-star martial skill, this speed is astonishing!" Julian couldn't hide his excitement.
With this skill, his true combat prowess would undoubtedly improve by leapt and bound.
His survivability in battle had also jumped to a higher level.
"This is just at beginning level. When it reach master-level or even perfection-level, how fast will it be?"
Julian felt a surge of anticipation in his heart, wishing that he could quickly level up the Flash Step.
Alas, the exchange store would not be refreshed until tomorrow night. After thinking about it, Julian decided to go out for a run now, grinding up the long-distance running mission to accumulate some PD points.
