The Might of Perfection-Level Martial Arts

After defeating Leo, Julian monitored the progress of [Practical Combat II] and found that it had become 1/10, nodding secretly to himself. If it went well, he would be able to clear it by the end on the day.

After descended the ring, Julian went straight to the counter again and continued to apply for another match. The staff's attitude became more polite as he received Julian's request, but Julian didn't pay any mind to his change in attitude.

The electronic screen displayed his next match.

It was still on the ring no. 4, but this time he had to wait for three more rounds before his turn.

Julian didn't mind the wait. He went back to the ring and watched the ongoing match to kill time.

Upon his observation, he discovered that most of the level 2 fighters had practiced at least two martial arts. It was just that their martial arts' proficiencies were far too lacking than he initially thought. Most of their practiced martial arts were at proficient-level and adept-level while the one who reached master-level in martial arts proficiency could be counted on fingers. Perfection-level martial arts? There were none.

They were certainly had a better talent than Julian in martial arts, no needed to argue about that. However, he had reached the high of the martial arts most of the people here would never reach. This was the testament of how extraordinary the system was.

Julian sighed, realizing once again how lucky he was. If he hadn't obtained the personal-development system, his Thunder Fist technique might not be better than the majority of people here.

Speaking of which, Julian noticed that most of the martial arts skills practiced by the members presented here were of the similar grade with Thunder Fist technique. There were no one used a higher-level martial arts skill such as Reef Crusher Wave Palm used by Leo, his opponent from the previous match.

"It seems that two-star martial arts are even rarer than I imagined."

Julian became more grateful for the presence of the system. With its help, it wasn't impossible for him to get another two-stars martial arts like the Flash Step he obtained previously from the lottery ticket. He could likely be able to obtain even a three-stars, four-stars, or even higher grade in the future.

About half an hour later, it was finally Julian's turn. As he walked over to the ring again, he could sense the crowds looking at him with surprised expression.

"It's that boy again!"

"Eh? This rookie is so fierce. In his first day he already applies for more than one battle. Isn't he tired?"

"Maybe he encounters a bottleneck in his practice, so he wants to seek some enlightenment by undergoing intense battles."

"Make sense."

While the crowds engaged in lively discussion, Julian's opponent had stepped onto the ring. Surprisingly, his opponent this time was a young man who seemed to be about the same age as him.

Although he didn't have a distinct facial feature, his eyes were bright and full of energy.

As soon as he entered the stage, the young man greeted Julian in a friendly tone.

"Bro, my name is Johnson from WW's combat department, nice to meet you! Which combat department are you from, brother?"

WW was a popular name of White Whale Hunter University, Julian understood that and nodded.

"Julian. Also from WW."

Getting the answer from Julian, Johnson looked at him with startled looks, seemingly finding it hard to belief that they came from the same university.

Perplexed, Johnson asked him back. "You're from WW? How come I've never seen you before?"

Julian shrugged his shoulders. "Not a combat department student."

After realization finally sunk in in his mind, Johnson gasped, eyes widened in astonishment.

"Are you from supporting department?"

"Yea."

"You're not joking with me, right bro?"

"Nope."

Shaking his head, Julian wasn't surprised by Johnson's doubtful tone. After all, who would believe someone from supporting department would be as powerful as him.

He didn't want to boast but after doing some research, Julian could confidently say that even if he compared himself to 3rd year or 4th year seniors in combat department, he'd still ended up in the top 10% at least.

Hearing the conversation between Julian and Johnson, the crowd around the ring were also stunned.

"What?! isn't this young man from Combat Department?"

"Fuck. If that boy can't get into WW's combat department how high their requirement for passing? Since when WW get that crazy?"

"That's ridiculous. Even the prestigious Hunter's Gate Academy didn't have a standard that high!"

"I really broaden my horizon today!"

Clamour from the crowd made the atmosphere livelier, with that as the background, Julian readied his stance, and so did his opponent.

Seeing that both of them were ready, the referee immediately announced the start of the battle.

Johnson took the initiative, rushing at Julian with extreme agility, like a tiger pounced at his prey with unparalleled momentum.

"That's Tiger's Leap!" Someone in the audience exclaimed.

Johnson's Tiger Leap had already reached master-level, and his movement was as fast as gust of wind. In a blink of an eye, he had arrived at Julian's side and immediately shot a punch, slightly rotating his arms as he thrusted his fist forwards.

The attack was definitely fast, but it wasn't enough to make Julian falter. He didn't hesitate and activate the flash step. Suddenly, he had already sidestepped from his original position and stood beside Julian, so fast as if he teleported there.

Unlike Leo, Johnson was someone he couldn't underestimate, and he dare not to be careless. So, he released his Thunder Fist with all his might, revealing the might of perfection-level martial arts.

In an instant, a thunderous roar exploded on the arena!

A punch with sheer destructive power similar to an artillery missile sprung toward Johnson's side in nearly inescapable speed.

Johnson's expression turned grave seemingly realized that Julian had already reached the perfection-level.

Facing the full-strength strike of the perfection-level Thunder Fist, Johnson showed an absurd face, and quickly leap to the side with his movement skill, barely dodging Julian's attack.

Johnson took several steps back, seemingly trying to create some distance from Julian. However, Julian was faster than ghosts, sticking to him like a shadow.

No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't shake off Julian's pursuit.

Finally, Johnson's stamina seemed to be exhausted, panting heavily as he used his movement skill several time before his body started staggering.

Julian knew that this was an opportunity and quickly drove a punch at Johnson.

Johnson's scalp felt numb all of a sudden, but he had no choice but to bite the bullet and faced it head on.

Boom!

In the next moment, Johnson flew upside down and fell out. After landing on the ground, he kicked back several steps and barely stabilized his figure until he reached the edge of the ring.

Seeing that Julian was about to unleash another attack, Johnson raised his hand and shouted.

"I surrender!"

Julian paused, giving Johnson a single glance, before putting his stance down and retreated.

Seeing this, Johnson was visibly relieved, wiping the cold sweat off his forehead.

At this time, the referee finally came to his senses and quickly announced that Julian had won.

As the voice fell, the surrounding crowd woke up like a dream, and exclamation suddenly came and went.

"I really didn't expect to see the perfection-level martial arts here!"

"This is too fierce!"

"How on earth did you cultivate martial arts to perfection at this age?!"
