As we made our way to the hills, Sage walked beside me and Jane.

“Have you been practicing with your implement?” she asked.

“I’ve been a little occupied,” I answered, stating the obvious. “But if stabbing Grayson with it counts, then yes..”

“Ah, a smart idea,” she nodded. “And his wound, did it heal?”

“No, it is what finally slowed him down,” I noted.

“Then yes it counts,” she smiled. “That means your magic worked! This is wonderful news!”

“So, there is hope for me, yet?"

Sage chuckled, her voice filled with warmth. "Well, not everyone is born with the innate ability to be a White Witch, but with your bloodline you certainly are. Now it's all about honing your inner wolf and embracing your unique connection to the supernatural."
