Chapter 34: Living Proof

*MIRA’S POV*

“Blaine, you can’t really believe that he was trying to kill you?” I uttered, wanting to explain that Trae was under the influence of my blood. But I couldn’t risk telling him the secret… Sage had insisted I keep it hidden for the safety of myself and others.

“I see where your loyalty lies,” Blaine snorted, turning to walk away from me.

“It’s not about loyalty,” I insisted, grabbing his arm. “I think it's just a misunderstanding…”

“Right,” he growled pulling his arm away. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a meeting with the Alphas to get to. My wolves with stay here to guard you.”

“Great…” I sighed, turning to find Jane looking at me with amusement.

“What?” I asked impatiently.

“Oh, nothing. I was just thinking that this little love triangle thing you all have going on is highly entertaining…” she smirked.

“Glad to hear that you’re having a good time,” I grumbled with an eye roll.
