Chapter 26: Stirring Up Trouble

Dane POV

Azandra laid down the basket of healing herbs she’d gathered, gripped some kind of medicine bag, and boldly faced the three of them, her chin up.

Tulaska shook her fist at Azandra. “You KNOCK before you enter my home from now on.”

“You asked for these herbs,” Azandra said in a supremely calm voice.

Dane wondered why he’d ever found that voice and that woman compelling. Although he thought her beautiful, physical perfection, he now saw the ugliness, the pettiness, and the jealousy behind her lovely looks.

They grew up together. Azandra Hemming had to be one of the most desirable female shifters in the history of the pack. He remembered her as an adorable wolf pup with fluffy silver fur that she always tried to tame, then as a popular girl that all the other females her age in the pack wanted to befriend. Her parents had their own compound and Azandra had a bungalow just for her healing.
