Chapter 42: Reunion

Dane POV

With or without what looked like a piece of the moon in her hands, Lilia was the most beautiful sight Dane had ever seen in his life. Interesting that Cyran kept her clothes on.

He peered through the crack in the doors to Cyran’s workshop and noticed she appeared to be alone.

A tense journey had led him here. Just ask the two guards who lay dead at his feet outside. His attack came swiftly, silently, and without warning.

His nose detected someone else inside the workshop and wrinkled from the familiar smell.

They left Monk to guard Lilia, eh? Not the brightest move, but then, Cyran appeared to have exhausted all his strategies in the plot to take Lilia.

Taking her was one thing, successfully keeping her against her will was quite another. Even now, she’d outmaneuvered them and she’d located her crystals.

Moon Goddess, his heart burst with pride.

“I found her,” he sent to his brothers. “She’s all right and she’s with the stones.”
