*Sophie’s POV*
Jarred had texted me the address to his restaurant earlier. I still couldn't believe I was meeting him for dinner. My heart raced as I turned into the parking lot. I didn't know what I was doing and felt on autopilot.
I took a deep breath before exiting the car and walked to the door. The building was gorgeous, and the glass windows provided a sneak peek into the inside.
Jarred was already standing at the door as I approached.
"Black and purple always looked good on you," he noted with a smile. He held the door for me as I entered.
Jarred wore black dress pants, a white dress shirt, and a black bow tie, instantly reminding me of Nigel.
"Wow, you have a fish tank,” I beamed.
I walked toward the fish tank and bent my knees to see the different types of fish swimming around, hoping I could stop seeing Nigel's face each time I looked at Jarred's bow tie.
