Everything Seems Strange to a Newcomer Part II

“Take good care of yourself, Fern, and I'll be here in two weeks.” As the nurse said goodbye… her eyes fixed on the moment Sister Margaret did not pay attention and secretly slipped a mobile phone into her niece's backpack. “I shall head out. Sister, please excuse me." Nurse Koi raised her hands in a wai gesture to greet Sister Margaret before turning around and walking back in the direction she came from, leaving her niece with Sister Margaret.

Sister Margaret didn't say anything further and walked Fern along a path leading to the dormitory...where she would have to spend the next three years.

The dormitory was a four-story concrete building. Judging from the condition, it had probably gone through the heat and the rain for many decades. The crimson-red tiled roof was speckled because of the passage of time. All the windows were tightly closed. To conclude, the whole building was not much different from a prison.
