Lang's house was two adjacent stalls of the tenement house at the end of the fresh market. The front of the house was open as a grocery store selling various goods such as dried shrimp, shrimp paste, fish sauce, and everyday appliances. However, the main business of the house was pork butchery. It was the business that had begun since Lang's ancestors' period. Lang also helped her family sell things since childhood, so she was well familiar with the business.

The hustle and bustle did not bother the girl who was enjoying breakfast at almost noon that day. It might be because of habituation or being used to it. Scooping her favorite pork spicy salad onto a large plate, she then grabbed the grilled chicken wings and nibbled on them comfortably. Lang’s eyes were still fixed on her favorite television program. She got to return home once a week. So, she must cherish a comfortable life at home before going back to hell at Rutherford Memorial School
