I Will Stay! Part II

Phupha’s family came to Sipang’s house early in the morning. Phupha’s mother was still dazed off, her condition was not better than in the past days. It was good that her relatives took care of her and arranged important matters in her place, otherwise, the funeral and the soul-calling ritual would not have happened.

Phupha's aunt set up a table in front of Plumeria house where various delicacies were orderly placed together with his belongings. Not long after, the locals' pickup truck came and parked in front of the Plumeria House. The driver hurriedly ran to open the car door to invite a monk into the house to perform the ritual. All the participants in the ceremony raised their hands in a wai to pay him respect with reverence. Sipang glimpsed at that monk's face and her eyes widened. He was the monk whom Sipang and Athip had met when they arrived in Hua Hin on the very first day.
