Haunted Island…Hostile Spirits Part III

The only way to get to the top was the stairs.

The hotel’s stairs looked magnificently charming but also utterly terrifying. The spiral-shaped brass stair heads stood out elegantly but looked speckled with time. The green carpet on the marble staircase was filled with leaf litter. The debris and the fallen tourists' clothes were scattered around. It was as if they dropped it from their bags and did not think twice about picking it up while escaping from the inn. Nueng along with Toon walked up carefully while their eyes looked around in fear. The large oil painting in the hallway up the stairs was creepy. It was a picture of a young lady wearing a traditional Thai Chakri (1) costume standing gracefully with a calm face. It was like she was constantly watching over the passing visitors of this hotel. Nueng picked up the video camera and took a shot. His heart was pounding and skipped a beat as the man and his friend wished nothing more than to escape from this place.
