Peem's car soared through the darkness straight down the dim road. The destination was his home, which Peem thought was the only place Khing was most likely to go. She would want nothing more than to bring their son home. The atmosphere inside the car was gloomy. Khao sat squeezing her hands back and forth as if there was something in her mind. Finally, the girl spoke up because she couldn't hold back any longer. She thought all the bad things were because of her deeds.

“Peem...I have something to confess.” The woman said softly, feeling afraid of being wrong about what to say. Still, it would be better than suffering alone. If Peem knew, he might be able to help solve the problem.

“What is it, Khao?” asked the other, looking intently at the road. His gaze also flickered to the left and to the right to find any sight of his wife and baby.

“I think all the bad incidents happened because of me.”

“No, it's not, Khao...why do you think so?”
