Kaworu sat comfortably on a tall tree.
It was a beautiful season; lots of flowers in the yard were blooming, and the elegant willows and pretty flowers seemed so full of life and made everyone feel happy. While the bright flowers hanging on the branches were nice to look at, Kaworu liked the small, unnoticed plants hidden in dark corners even more.
A bent little plant – Kaworu had been watching it without much thought for several days. Today, it finally managed to sprout its first delicate bud from a gap in the rocks, growing in a quirky, twisted way.
A wet snail took its time, slowly making its way across a blade of grass for an entire hour under the moon's glow. It left behind a slimy trail before joyfully digging into the moist ground filled with decomposing plants.
Kaworu's favorite part was under the ground, where a groundhog had just had a bunch of babies, all snugly huddled together, making soft chirping sounds.
