Chapter 33

After Aravind decided to take a look into the organisation he has created to help the people who suffered from the Gates, he narrowed his eyes as he saw where the money that the organisation has is being sent to and how they are working.

He still has contacts in the organisation, those loyal to him whom he had planted in there to monitor the organisation and keep their data, but they won't do anything else other than observe them.

After he got into contact with one of them he got them to send him the data regarding the operations and finance of the organisation as he looked at it and he narrowed his eyes when he read through the data.

"So that's how they are doing it. They help people, but not everyone. Instead they help people with some importance in society while leaving the lower classes without their support huh. While also siphoning the money the organisation gets and uses it for their own means huh." Aravind muttered to himself as he looked at the screen.

He didn't like the fact that the people in control of the organisation are using the money meant to be used for helping the people for their own selfish ends. He pinched the bridge of his nose and let out a frustrated sigh as he looked at the screen.

"I got too engrossed in the clearing of the Gates that I neglected to check on the organisation." Aravind said to himself as he looked at the screen.

'In any case, there is no point in delaying this. I need to get control of that organisation and make it work for its true purpose." Aravind thought to himself as he looked at the screen.

He sighed to himself as he couldn't believe that he neglected it. Of course, people can say that it was because he had to take care of the Gates, but Aravind is a pretty responsible man so he doesn't like it when things like this happen.

He called the necessary people as he spent an hour issuing orders for the search, replacement and working of the establishment, as he doesn't want people like that in his organisation.

'This is no time to be thinking about our own selfish needs. As each day pass the dangers of the Gates are becoming higher and higher, of course, me and the other Gold Players are also getting stronger but that doesn't mean that we can be lax about it.' Aravind thought to himself as he looked from his place at the building at the bustling city below.

"No matter how strong you are, always believe that there is someone stronger than you in this world." Aravind said to himself as he looked at the city.

It is something that he has said to himself from time to time. He knows that just because he is the top Player of India, doesn't mean that he is unbeatable. He doesn't want to become conceited and arrogant so he says those words to himself to remind himself that he is still a human.

As he was thinking that he got some notifications as he looked at it and narrowed his eyes at it. He looked at his computer screen which has the face of Michael on it as he frowned as he looked at his mobile screen.

"He is the one closest to it but sending him right now is not appropriate. Thankfully there is still time for that Gate." Aravind said to himself as he looked at the screen.

'Of course, it would be better to send the other Players except for him, but it's best to be cautious about it. We can't lose any Players who would be able to protect the people in the future.' Aravind thought to himself as he sighed.

He knew that Players are crucial for the survival of the human race as without them they are nothing in front of the monsters from the Gates. While those at the top can fight the stronger monsters and keep them at bay, the lower Players can help by saving and protecting the lives of non-players.

'If only things were that easy. People can't put their pride behind when working and many Players are driven by greed for fame and fortune, causing them to act selfishly and run away when their lives are in danger.' Aravind thought to himself as he remembered how some of the lower ranked Players he had worked in the past would run in fright at the strength of the enemy.

"I hope that Michael is someone noble." Aravind said to himself as he remembered looking at the guy.

It is said that the eyes are the way to the soul, and at that day, he didn't see the same admiration for the Gold Players in his eyes like the other Players. Which surprised him as most of the Gold Players wanted to get closer to them. He also didn't seem that excited when Kavya told her offer, instead he seemed to be just surprised about it.

Aravind smiled as he remembered that as he hoped that Michael is one of the rare few Players who cares about the people and not just money and fame.

"Still, only time will tell whether he is like I hoped he is." Aravind said to himself as he looked at the sky at the giant timer as he stood with his lips in a thin line.

At the hospital, the doctor who had done the operation on Michael's mother sat with the other doctors as he sighed to himself as he sat there.

"Man, I was feeling very nervous since that girl is with him." The doctor said as he let out a sigh.

"Yeah, who would've thought that he would be acquainted with the little sister of Arun." The doctor who also helped in the operation said as he rubbed his head.

The other three nurses who were working also nodded in response as they knew that if they didn't make satisfactory results, then they might anger the girl, which would not be good for them in the long run. Even the government can't stand against the Gold Players and they are very crucial for the protection of the people and society.

If a question was asked about who was more important between the five of them and a Gold Player, it is definitely the Gold Player. They can be replaced as there are many who are in the same profession, but a Gold Player is a rarity of the extreme, so of course the Gold Player would be chosen.

The five of them were taking some time to cool themselves down after the operation. But then the door to the room was swung open as a nurse appeared as she panted while hunching over with her hands on her knees.

"Jesus!"

"God!"

The doctors and nurses shouted in surprise at the sudden appearance of the nurse as they looked at her.

"Why in the world did you do that? We just finished an operation?" The first doctor said as he sighed to himself.

"Yes we want to get some rest." The second doctor said with a nod.

The three nurses however noticed her state as they were confused by how she is acting.

"Is there something wrong?" One nurse asked the new woman as she looked at him.

The others looked at the nurse as she caught her breath and looked at them.

"I-It's about the woman you were operating one. The Number 1 ranked Player Aravind has just called and told the hospital to do everything we can to help her. He said that the operation must be successful." The nurse said to them as she caught her breath.

The five people in the room froze when they heard that. Her words replayed in their minds as they remembered the two Gold Players, the brother of Gayatri and the first ranked Player Aravind. They also remembered the nurse telling them that he wanted the operation to be a success.

At that moment all five of them fainted as they thought about it, fearing for what would happen to them should the operation not he successful as they fell on the ground. The nurse herself was shocked at seeing it as she went out.

"EMERGENCY!" The nurse shouted in the hallway.
