Chapter 388: Meeting the Planar Merchant Again

Muria lectured the young demon-hunting knight with a free flow of motivational words, igniting his fighting spirit and setting him on a path to become the next Ron. After that, Muria left the demiplane with a satisfied smile, taking Yindiela with him.

Upon reappearing in the royal palace, Muria found Mia, the dragon-blooded maid whose existence had long been influenced by Muria's aura. She had a natural sense for Muria's presence.

As soon as Muria had entered the demiplane, she couldn't sense him anymore. Now that Muria had returned, she immediately approached him. "Master Muria, what happened..."

"I told you before, I had acquired a demiplane in the Asnilor Continent. I just went there to bring this little one out," Muria explained, petting Yindiela and introducing her to his personal maid.

"Master, she looks so much like you." Mia smiled joyfully upon seeing Yindiela, who resembled a younger, feminized version of Muria.

"Muria, can I eat her?" Yindiela, holding Muria's hand and seemingly docile, stared at Mia with a gaze that regarded her as food.

"No," Muria firmly pinched Yindiela's tender cheek, "Without my permission, you must not consume any living creature."

"Okay!" Yindiela, somewhat disappointed after being denied by Muria, lowered her head and began sucking her finger.

"Master Muria..." Mia, just as she tried to touch Yindiela, was frightened by Yindiela's carnivorous gaze, causing sweat to form on her forehead and back.

"Yindiela comes from the void, she is different from us," Muria commanded, "Let everyone in the palace know not to touch Yindiela. If they see her, they should find a way to avoid her."

"Muria..." Hearing Muria's order, Yindiela pouted unhappily, looking adorable yet, aside from Muria, no one else could truly appreciate her cuteness.

Muria ignored Yindiela's pout and continued to inquire with Mia, "How are the preparations for King Beladian's funeral?"

"They are underway. According to the customs of the Lockman Kingdom, I have already announced the king's death nationwide, and nobles have started sending representatives to attend King Beladian's funeral."

"Make sure the funeral arrangements are meticulously prepared according to their traditions. There must be no mistakes."

"Don't worry, Master Muria."

"Come on, Yindiela," Muria said, leading the wandering girl, "I'm taking you to meet your future protector. From now on, you must guard her well. Anyone who tries to harm her, you can treat as food."

"Okay!" Yindiela smiled happily, her eyes forming crescent moons.

"Where is Princess Remilia?" When Muria arrived at the palace of the only heir to the current Lockman Kingdom and asked the maids and guards, he noticed a strange phenomenon.

"I don't know." Whether it was the maids or the giant guards he had dispatched, all were clueless, as if Princess Remilia did not exist.

Finally, in the back garden of Remilia's palace, Muria encountered a peculiar yet familiar scene.

A figure in a black robe, face unclear, presumably humanoid, sat amidst a garden full of exotic herbs and plants.

Before him was a neat black carpet with various, seemingly insignificant items displayed on it.

Such attire would normally be found on a common goods merchant easily found in any city, dealing in unknown wares, mostly of low quality.

Yet, such a merchant appearing so mysteriously in the heavily guarded royal palace, especially near Princess Remilia's quarters, was indeed strange.

Muria's own guards didn't match the high level of security he had implemented for this little princess. Yet, this person seemed to disregard such stringent security as if it were nothing.

The storm giants and cloud giants Muria had stationed here, even the patrolling griffins, had all failed to notice this mysterious merchant, as well as Princess Remilia, who was browsing the items at his stall as if she were invisible.

Or rather, her presence had been diminished to almost nothing. Princess Remilia was still there, but everyone, except for Muria, overlooked her.

"Planar Merchant!" Seeing the black-robed figure, Muria narrowed his eyes, then looked down at Yindiela, "Can you see that guy in the black robe?"

"What?" Yindiela, curiously looking around, responded cluelessly to Muria's question.

"Never mind, just stay here and don't move. I'll be back after buying something." Muria let go of Yindiela's hand and walked towards the merchant's stall.

As Muria approached the Planar Merchant, his presence quickly diminished. When he stood next to Remilia,

Yindiela became even more confused, not understanding why she was there, only vaguely remembering someone had asked her to wait.

"Good day, ruler of Lockman Kingdom, the great Muria," greeted the merchant, only slightly bowing his head, his demeanor arguably more haughty than any goblin merchant.

"Do you want this spear?" Muria ignored the merchant's attitude, squatting down to look at Remilia and the crimson spear she tightly held.

"Yes." Remilia timidly shrank her head, hesitating before nodding slowly.

"How much for the spear?" Muria directly asked the black-robed merchant.

"Master Muria, this isn't appropriate. I've already agreed on a price with this little customer, and we were about to make the transaction."

"I am her guardian now, entitled to interfere with all her decisions and to protect her from harm. Tell me, what price does my Princess Remilia need to pay for this spear?"

"If you say so, then I must inform you," the merchant spoke flatly, "This young customer desires Gungnir, the price: three unconditional acts of assistance in five hundred years."

"If I were to buy this spear for her, what would be the price?"

"Allow me a moment to divinate your future."
