That night however, to Violet's shock and chagrin, it was Ilse that Prince Leo chose to dance with after the dinner plates were cleared from the tables.

The two of them made a striking looking couple in the dance floor as they danced to tune after tune. Violet could hear several admiring courtiers commenting on how gracefully they moved together. Even the dumpy Queen Celia was smiling appreciatively at the pair.

Violet had to remain in her seat and smile as is she didn't have a care in the world, when her jaw still ached and her head throbbed with fury.
