Yang Lingyun's heart pounded in his chest in fear as he knelt beside her.
He gently shook her shoulders. But there was no response. Her eyes remained closed, her face pale and expressionless.
"She seemed completely okay earlier..." Gu Sheng started.
Yang Lingyun scooped Xia Lihua up in his arms. "Open the car door!"
Gu Sheng quickly opened the back door of the car. Yang Lingyun climbed inside and sat down, carefully laying Xia Lihua on his lap. He held her tightly, his arms encircling her.
"Should I drive to the hospital?" Gu Sheng asked, his voice uncertain.
"Yes," Yang Lingyun said without hesitation.
Gu Sheng remembered Xia Lihua's previous insistence on avoiding hospitals. "But I think young miss Xia doesn't like going to the hospital..."
Yang Lingyun knew Gu Sheng was right. The last time Xia Lihua had fainted, she had adamantly refused to go to a hospital, preferring to have Doctor Ma come to her instead.
