Kemal’s Price (1)

Gant stood by the entrance to the kitchen and moved his body slightly, so no one could see him covering his nose. The smell in the room was so pungent that it made him shiver in fear when he imagined eating that food.

Vincent nervously skimmed through the cookbook, wondering what went wrong.

"Commander… I think that onion is burnt…" He sniffed fighting with his own tears. No one ever told him that cooking would make him cry. The onion was a formidable opponent.

Luan pierced him with his gaze. "You told me to fry the onion for five minutes until it softens… It's still hard."

"Y-yes, that's what the book said…" Vincent looked into the pot and found the charcoaled mess inside. Whatever it was, it had nothing to do with the onion anymore.

"Maybe if we add the rest of the ingredients, it will turn out right?" He boldly suggested and quickly turned to Gant for confirmation, but the senior knight averted his eyes.
