The Glass House (2)

"Luan, where are we going?" Arianell asked when he ran through the garden. She thought he would stop when they were far enough from the balcony, but he just kept on moving until they saw the palace walls.

"Home." 

"What? So…quickly? Don't we need to at least say goodbye…?" She thought about all the people at the ball, what would they think if the main character disappeared just like this?

"There is no need. The king already left, and the crown prince followed him. You don't owe a farewell to anyone else."

"Still…" Arianell was unsure.

Luan was behaving weirdly. He spoke a lot to Blaine but as soon as they jumped down, he returned to his silent mode again.

"Are you angry?" She asked. That must be it. He didn't like the fact that she didn't wait for him after the dance but went out alone.

"I'm not." He said without blinking an eye.

"You are! I can tell, you know…"
