The Black Dragon, Noirelle (1)

"Riwan…!"

Noirelle woke up to the silent night, her forehead sweating as she got out of the nightmare. The camp that was built in a mere two days accommodated tens of thousands of demons, with more still on the way to a mountain.

"Did you have a bad dream?" Argenis asked. He was the only one still awake as he was feeding the big eagle seated on his shoulder.

"Ah, this one is from the Forest… Magical beasts born with three eyes are the wardens of my territory. He is still young, and can't speak yet," he explained.

Noirelle sat up and extended her hand to pat the bird's head. It instinctively bowed to greet one of the gods, showing his absolute obedience even if she wasn't his creator.

"Is everything alright at your Forest?" She asked as her breathing calmed down.

"Children are growing impatience and some of them left the haven to come here… But don't worry, they won't cause any problems…" Argenis assured her.
