The Silver Feather Guild has earned a stellar reputation for their unwavering commitment to justice and their acts of heroism during the Hero Wars. This conflict pitted players who embraced the roles of villains against other players, with the added challenge of aiding villainous non-player characters. Notably, the guild has also dedicated itself to assisting new players in adapting to the game's challenging nature. With their invaluable support and extensive membership, they stand as one of the largest guilds on the server.
"W-wait! Why are you doing this?!"
They are all good-hearted individuals who established rules in the starting regions to eliminate villains and player killers (PKers). Their goal is to create a game environment where players can truly enjoy the game without the constant fear of being attacked by others.
"Huh? I thought one of the strongest guilds will give me a challenge, but I guess that's wrong, the only one I had a little problem dealing with is your tank, although he too died in four shots."
I sat on the torso of their legless captain, and although there were over 15 of them, I dealt with them quite easily.
"Say, captain, what level is your party?"
"M-most of us are level 13 and some level 14."
With their levels surpassing the 10th mark, it's likely that they have not only completed their class quests but also achieved higher overall stats compared to mine. While luck does play a role, my advantage lies in the [Death Mark] ability, enabling me to inflict devastating damage ranging from hundreds to even thousands with a single strike.
"Well, I'm level 12, never thought the protector of the weak… to be so weak."
He glared back at me and looking like his pride was hurt.
"Urk, you won't get away with this!"
"Oh shut up, chairs aren't supposed to speak, anyway. Now drop all of your items if you don't want your equipment to break and your level to go down."
"Hiek!"
He immediately went over his inventory and dropped everything he had. For him, he might've thought that it was possible for him to get his items back if he should locate me, rather than his items breaking.
"H-here I dropped all of it, so please let me go!"
I nodded and stood up, but I stabbed him in the neck, killing him, and his last words were.
"You… bastard…"
Out of all the loot that dropped, only a few items turned out to be worthwhile, and to be honest, most of them aren't really useful to me. I guess the smart move would be to sell them in the auction, just to fly under the radar. But there's this one accessory that instantly caught my eye.
******
[Item: Ring of Haste]
[Rank: Rare]
[Description:] A Golden Ring made by the High Elves hidden in the forest of Silvia.
[Effects: Dexterity +5, Agility +5]

Obtaining stat-raising items is a rarity, and if word gets out that you possess one, you'd better watch your back. People would go to great lengths to take you out discreetly until you surrender the item. On the other hand, if you decide to sell it in the local auction, the bidding could skyrocket, reaching tens of thousands of gold. It's a risky situation, and I'll need to weigh my options carefully, while the Steel Dagger and Cold Dagger are better than the Noob Shortswords, so I'll keep them for now.
"Well, I don't care if people see me with this item, but if those guys from the Silver Feather Guild were to see me with it, then I might get in trouble even more."
I equipped the item either way. Right now I need money, yes, but the other item drops will be enough to cover the costs, and having more stats right now will be better than selling the ring.
"Time to get out of here."
The captain dropped a handful of items. The things I needed were all there, but also an extra something.
"Hehe, look at that, health potions, mana potions, a map, compass, and even return stones. He dropped a lot of things."
I retrieved the map and retraced my steps toward one of the many exits in this dungeon, leaving a trail of defeated players and kobolds in my wake, a path marked by death. Just before making my exit, I removed the skull mask that concealed my identity. Stepping out into the open, I realized that none of those around me recognized who I truly was.
There were a lot of players crowding the entrance of the dungeon and before anyone took notice of me as many other players were rushing out of the exit, which is the entrance of the dungeon itself. I slip into the forest and I waited until it was nighttime for me to enter the town.
"That skull-masked bastard killed me!"
"Yeah! He must be a hacker or some smurf for him to move that fast and eliminate my party!"
"I already reported it to the Silver Feather Guild, but they're not doing anything!"
"I reported him to the admin, but they said that he was not hacking and that I have severe skill issues!"
The local town was bustling with numerous players, their voices filled with complaints and frustrations. It was to be expected, given the circumstances. However, I couldn't help but wonder why the Silver Feather Guild, considering the size of their guild, appeared inactive in addressing the issue. Their losses, in comparison, wouldn't be as significant.
I went into the auction place and put up the items that I want to sell, everything is going smoothly, but now was the time should log out, I wonder what will happen the next time I log in, hopefully, I could get to level 20 the next time I log in.
[Do you want to log out?]
"Yes."

The world around me disappeared, and I felt something around my head and body, as when I took off the visor that enables me to play World of Fantasy.
"Welcome back, young master."
