Upon killing the player, Blake quickly takes out one toxic smoke bomb and used it.
Psshh!
A cloud of smoke burst forth once again, layering the already smoky area that was caused by the player's skill earlier. Since he's the one that used the toxic smoke bomb, he shouldn't be affected by its effect.
But he was dead wrong, he coughed a couple of times, feeling his nose burning.
[-30 HP]
[-15 HP]
[...]
'Damn, I thought wrong. I better do this quickly then...'
Casting the Blood Lance earlier against the Crimson Blazesteed depleted his Blood Reserve completely, he would need to replenish it before going into a fight against the Bisnorix. However, he needs to do this secretly.
Angel and Tara knew that he was a Spectral Vampire, but Linthia doesn't
Blake doesn't have any plan to tell her about it, she's going to depart from his care soon, so it would be reckless of him to tell her about him being a Spectral Vampire. If the information reaches her guild, then that's going to be really bad.
Due to that, he needs to hide from plain sight to devour the blood of the fallen player.
[Blood Reserve: 5,000 / 5,000]
It was right when it's replenished, the player's body disappears.
Now that he has done the deeds, he waved his sword in a firm manner to disperse the toxic smoke around him. Following that, he instantly locked eyes with the Bisonorix that already recovered from missing the attack from earlier.
A snort of steam came out of its flaring nostrils at the sight of its new opponent.
The Bisnorix clearly was sizing Blake up and down with anger burning inside. But it could tell that compared to the player earlier, his presence ignites its senses dangerously, showing that Blake is different than the previous opponent.
But even then, the moon mark on its forehead glowed golden brightly.
Obviously, the Bisonorix is corrupted by the First God. And it wouldn't stop its full rampage.
Just as Blake prepares for the Bisonorix to make its move, his eyes darted to the side and saw Tara and Linthia rush past him, engaging in a fight with the Bisnorix. Both brandished their sharp daggers skillfully.
In their quick steps, Tara's body splits into two, the other one is a shaded clone.
On the other hand, Linthia's daggers glowed green.
Feeling the oozing killing intent coming from the two women, the Bisonorix didn't sit idle and retaliated. It cast another Furious Roar skill, creating a powerful soundwave that rattles the eardrums to weaken Tara and Linthia.
But the two already saw its attack earlier and anticipated it to use the skill again.
Almost like instinct, the two moved in synchronization, grabbing the void in front of them and pulling out what seemed to be a blanket of shadow that they used to cover their bodies and protected them from the soundwaves effects.
Thanks to that, the soundwave failed in hindering their quick advancements.
"Silent Strike!"
"Lethal Poison!"
Arriving on either side of the Bisonorix, the two attack its legs with a beautiful arc.
One left a shallow gash that only draws a trickle of blood, while the other left a wound that corroded the skin around it. Despite their increase in strength, the two don't have the physical strength to leave a deep wound.
It was a level 47 mob that they were fighting, so it's natural.
Despite not being able to deal enough damage to the Bisonorix, their increase in level as well as training has bore fruit as the two maneuvers through the Bisnorix's stampede and keeps on aiming for its two front legs.
Under the constant attack, the Bisonorix's front legs were now in very bad shape.
Roar!!
A wailing roared escaped its mouth due to the pain.
While watching the two fight from behind, Blake couldn't hide his affirming smile.
'Linthia is aimed by his father's competitor because of having the Virulent Assassin class on top of the usual heritage of the Infernal Veiled Assassins guild, this gave her more potential as a fearsome assassin' Blake thought, fixing his gaze at Linthia.
It's because of that, she was dragged into the internal conflicts of the guild.
Blake knew this from Tara, she said that he needs to know this as a temporary guardian.
Finding that Blake was smiling at the two that has gotten stronger, even taking on the Bisnonorix despite the difference in their levels, Angel clicked her tongue in displeasure. If this keeps on going, then she would lose out.
Not wanting that to happen, she bit her lower lip and decided to move.
Raising her staff that she had bought not too long ago as per Blake's suggestion to increase her spells' potency, she cast a spell that made the circular orb of the staff glow green brightly, fueled with energy.
"Piercing Thorn!"
Out of nowhere, two thorns jutted from the ground and stabbed the Bisonorix's hindlegs.
It was not deep enough, and the Bisonorix could still move.
Although that was the case, the Bisnorix didn't use this chance to get away and reset the fight. Instead, it keeps on trying to hits Linthia and Tara with its vicious horns, completely enthralled in its rampage.
But this allowed Angel to cast the same spell over and over again and injured its hind legs.
Having all of its legs injured, the Bisonorix growled in pain.
Glancing over at Angel that is wearing a pleading expression as if she was asking to be praised, Blake raised his thumb and gave her an affirming nod, praising her for being brave enough to join the fight against a mob that is stronger than the ones inside the Unholy Crypt dungeon.
Now that the three has helped him, it was time for him to land the last attack.
Cracking his neck in a nonchalant manner, Blake smiled before he in an instant jumped into the air, pointing his sword at the Bisonorix. Enhancing his sword with the Umbral Fortitude skill, he pointed the tip right at the Bisnorix's forehead.
Since its legs were injured, it couldn't dodge the attack and only has an option to fight back.
In an instant, it activated the Gory Assault and Ironhide Defense skills.
Even though the Bisnorix is trying to retaliate to the best of its abilities, it was more of a desperate attempt instead to preserve its life. But that's not enough as Blake manipulated the Shadowblood to also enhance his sword.
Like butter, the tip pierces through the forehead and stabbed the brain.
Roarr!!
[Critical hit!]
[-70,000 HP]
Realizing that the attack didn't kill the Bisonorix in one swoop, Blake twisted the sword and cast its innate skill, exploding what was left inside the bull's head, sealing the deal of its visit to the death realm at this moment.
[Level 47 Bisonorix killed!]
[Obtained 110,500 Exp and 100 Gold]
Anticipating to only kill one, it seems Blake would be able to kill all three Boss Mobs.
It all depends on the last one that now is probably still fighting PointyBrute, 'After killing this PointyBrute, I would need to go back and kill that last player before the Beast Horde has been dealt with' Blake thought with a frown.
Glancing over at Tara, he then asked, "How's the situation at the walls?"
"Surprisingly, the people were doing very well. It'll be over soon" Tara replied with certainty.
Upon hearing this Blake clicked his tongue as this is not what he wanted to hear, it seems the countermeasure he puts inside the shallow river is working too well which allows the people to fend off the Beast Horde easily.
But as he was about to take the loot, Angel poke her head on the side.
"Can I get the loot this time...? Pretty please~"
"Of course, you've done your part. I'm proud of you. So take them if you want"
Most of the dropped items that came from the Bisonorix were C-grade items, so it's not that much of a deal to let Angel take them. Even though that was the case, Tara take a step forward and also requested the same thing.
"I want it too. Can I take some too, Blake?"
"O- Oh, okay. Lady Linthia, why don't you also take one? You've helped in taking it down"
Just like that, the Bisonorix's dropped items were shared amongst the three who had helped the fight. It was supposed to be a small deal, at least that is what Blake consider it. But it was not for the others.
Tara gave Angel a playful smirk as she takes one dropped item.
In response, Angel's expression darkens as she cursed Tara inside her head multiple times.
Due to her, the dropped items were shared equally, even taking into account Linthia that doesn't seem to be thinking about that at first. It frustrated Angel to no end, 'I need to get rid of these two as soon as possible...'
A moment later.
Blake didn't need to do anything much to kill PointyBrute.
Surprisingly enough, PointyBrute was able to force Terramaw to use its Desperate Shell skill and put itself in a boulder position. It couldn't move from its spot, but its defense and Hp substantially increased.
When Blake arrived, PointyBrute was lying on the ground in a dying state.
Clearly, he had already tried everything in his power to break Terramaw's boulder state yet couldn't do anything to it. Not even a scratch was left on its thick skin, the damage he dealt in this state only amounted to two digits at max.
Eventually, he bleed out and was on the brink of death before Blake came and killed him.
It was an easy kill, and that left him with the last player.
"Hmm... should we also try killing this beast? I don't think we could though" Tara mused.
Upon hearing this, Blake also agreed with her.
Terramaw would be in this state for an hour before it would return back to its normal state. Compared to wasting energy and trying to kill it now, it's best to wait the hour out and kill the Terramaw then.
Shifting his body around, he decided to went back to the wall in search for the last player.
"Wait here for a bit, I'll go kill the last player" Blake instructed.
Following that, he quickly used his Shadow Step skill to course through the forest faster until he eventually reaches the end of the forest with the sight of Einora City in the distance. But it was right at that moment that his expression froze.
All of the Beasts were already killed, and the people were already celebrating.
In response to this, Blake could only fall on all four to the ground in deep regret as he failed the quest that he wanted to finish the most. Now he was left with lingering curiosity about the Basic Player Soul item.
'Man... I shouldn't have done that to the river' Blake thought.
But then again, he doesn't expect that his plan works too well against the Beast Horde.
