Chapter-19

"Though your technique is solid, it is not a copybook style. It is called a formless style."

Athena told him.

"I see. Well, nobody has taught me yet, so I don't know."

He replied. Athena then nodded. She said that it is not bad if one can construct their own style. However, before that they have to know basics among basics.

Then she took out a wooden piece that looked like a spear. She took her stance and stabbed that wooden spear in the air.

The air around her wrapped because of her swing, it looks like she was cutting the space with it. The after-shock of the swing smacks his face. It made him flabbergasted.

He never expected that something like this could be possible. Then he remembers he was in a world of magic, and this woman is a level 80+ expert.

She then asked him what he thought about this attack. He replied that the pressure of this swing was top-class. Then she asked him, what is more than this? Sin was about to explain how magnificent this stab was however then he notice something on the surface of the arena.

There was a hole that was as thick as the wooden spear. He thought, what the heck she did do that just with a wooden stick, does she need a real weapon at all? When she saw that he finally realize the meaning of her swing she nodded with satisfaction and told him that, this is called true spearmanship. Not everyone can adopt this kind of skill. This is one of the reasons spear weapons are rendered as a useless weapon if you cannot execute this kind of ability you are not fit for having it. Because everyone knows it doesn't have a wide swing like a sword, everyone also knows that you will just stab it onto them, so they can predict the attack pretty easily.

After hearing her he nodded, then he said that he doesn't have the power to generate such strength. She replied to him, yes he does need strength however, what he needs most is the stability of a swing. This power only can be generated when he delivers a 100% perfect stable stab. It cannot move a mere centimeter from the original trajectory. if he did that, air won't help him to generate the aftershock and make a hole like that on the ground of the arena.

Then she told him to look at it once again. This time he watch that move carefully with his Sharingan. When she move that spear the air surrounding it started to shake and on the point of the wood, he saw wind that made a shape like a spearhead. When she stopped the spear the wind spearhead didn't stop on its trajectory. It directly pierce the ground which made a perfect hole in it.

It was a perfect stab. As she said, she didn't move a single centimeter from the original trajectory. Which causes it to create this wind pressure to make spearhead.

Why it won't make a wind spearhead if you shake from the original trajectory. It is because the wind surrounding it moves and disperses because of that random movement so, there wasn't any chance to gather the wind in one sharp edge.

Athena gave him the wooden stick and told him that, he should perfect this form. She meant he have to stable his stab first. When he will perfect that, she will teach him how to make airflow in his favor.

She left the ground without saying anything more or anything less. But what did Sin have? He have a weapon that far exceeded her imagination. He couldn't do that because no one showed him how to battle with the spear, and on top of that he saw that from a top-class user. Yes, we are talking about Sharingan's ability.

Hatake Kakashi. Who was known as copy ninja that can copy the jutsu that he saw? Not only Kakashi most of the users of the Sharingan could copy jutsu. However, you need talent to apply it. Kakashi had that talent more than anyone.

On the other hand, Johan can also copy other people's moves. Because of his perception. In his earlier days, he was known as the mirror boxer. Who could mirror anyone who moves quite easily? Which means he also got the ability to copy someone's move.

And now he has Sharingan. It will be easier for him to copy it. He imagines the standing form of Athena, then he moves his spear with the rhythm of the air, if you don't push it correctly time air won't support you. The thing she called air, in physics, it called wavelength, if he doesn't move the spear on the correct wavelength he cannot be made the wind spearhead.

He was quite successful to make a wind spearhead which hit the floor. Though it couldn't make a hole as deep as Athena, he was still successfully made scratch on it. Then he touches the ground. It was made of stone. So, he cannot imagine what kind of force she used to make a scratch like that.

The next morning, when he displayed her this she was quite shocked. She told him that are you really a level 1 boy. You are a prodigy, and I think there might be some problem in your leveling vain. It might be blessed in the disguise of the curse.

Then he told her that he couldn't make a perfect hole like her. She told him as he suspected. She was strong, the main part wasn't making holes but executing skills like that, which Sin did. And he could be proud of himself because he did that only one night.

She praised her, but if she knew that, he did it after the first time he tried she would have been so shocked that, he would be declared as youngest prodigy of the spear ever.

She then told him to practice it as much as possible. If he uses it in battle even if the opponent is several times stronger than him, he could win.
