Not So Lonely Anymore

Bei Sangyun sharply opened her eyes and sat up straight, sweat forming on her forehead.

Realizing it was only a dream, she sighed in relief and held her aching temple.

She went to the kitchen and drank a cold glass of water.

She had a nightmare again.

She dreamed of the past.

Bei Sangyun went to the balcony, attempting to cool her head from the unpleasant memories.

The cold wind ruffled her hair as she gazed at the city lights below.

It wasn't that night that traumatized her. It was the events afterward that badly hurt her and taught her a painful reality.

She had successfully escaped that night, fighting for her dignity as if her life depended on it. She could endure many things, but being humiliated and trampling on her dignity that way was something she couldn't bear. 

At that time, she thought would rather die trying to escape than give up.
