Chapter 109: Departure

After reviewing the rewards for the three Quests, Qi Han nodded in satisfaction.

Upon completing these Quests, he could receive Random Recipe Drops x5, 3 Star Random Recipes x2, Spirit Power level +3, and 3 Star Optional Recipe Fragments x3. As for the system's custom decoration, it could be considered as a reward.

Qi Han remembered that one of the prerequisites for becoming an intermediate chef was mastering five 3 Star recipes.

Currently, he only knows one, Fish Belly Stuffed with Lamb.

However, he had obtained Qing Dynasty Blessed Pork Meat and Boiled Cabbage in Clear Broth.

With the addition of the two 3 Star Random Recipes he would receive after completing these three Quests, the prospect of becoming an intermediate chef finally seemed reachable.

Of course, even if he mastered the four 3 Star recipes, the other prerequisites were still a distant goal.

Therefore, this glimmer of hope was indeed just a glimmer.

Better than nothing, though.

Qi Han shrugged, walked out of the training space, and saw the three employees waiting at the door.

"Good afternoon, boss!" The three girls greeted Qi Han in unison. After entering the Small Shop, Qi Han closed the door, wearing a smile.

The three employees were already familiar with the Small Shop. After checking the menu to confirm there were no new dishes, they promptly ordered their respective working meals from Qi Han.

Qi Han nodded in understanding and entered the kitchen. Soon, he brought the working meals for the three girls.

"Fu Ya, what's wrong?" Qi Han couldn't help but be curious as he saw Ying Shuang and Ji Yunruo focused on their meals while Fu Ya hesitated.

"Well, boss, starting tomorrow, I may not be able to work in the Small Shop for a long time," Fu Ya said, her expression somewhat hesitant.

Hearing this, Ying Shuang and Ji Yunruo slowed down their chopstick movements.

Qi Han was slightly stunned, but he quickly figured out what was going on. He tentatively asked, "Is it because of the Advanced Spirit Master Academy Fighting Tournament?"

"Yes." Fu Ya nodded. She had mentioned a few times before that she had been chosen by the academy. It wasn't surprising to Qi Han that he guessed it correctly. "Tomorrow, I will be leaving with the Shrek Academy team to participate in the tournament in Star Luo City. The competition will last for about a month, so I might not be able to work in the Small Shop for the next month."

Qi Han smiled. "No problem."

Originally, he planned to announce it after the three girls finished their working meals. Since Fu Ya had already mentioned it, he might as well say it now.

Thinking of this, after a few seconds of contemplation, Qi Han slowly spoke, "In fact, Small Shop will probably take another break starting tomorrow, so Ying Shuang and Yunruo don't need to come over tomorrow either."

Huh?

Hearing this, the three girls were all stunned.

Fu Ya quickly understood, "Boss, are you taking leave again?"

After all, he had previously taken a ten-day leave.

"Yes, but this time, I don't know how long I'll be on leave." Qi Han chuckled, "I plan to open a new Small Shop in Star Luo City and run it for a while, so the Small Shop here won't be open for the time being."

"Star Luo City?" Fu Ya exclaimed softly, realizing that it was the same destination as hers.

"Yes." Qi Han nodded, "Star Luo City is about to host the Advanced Spirit Master Academy Fighting Tournament. With the influx of people from all over the continent, I plan to open a restaurant there to increase the visibility of the Small Shop."

Ying Shuang and Ji Yunruo exchanged a glance, feeling somewhat silent.

Naturally, they didn't want Qi Han to go to Star Luo City, but from the perspective of managing the Small Shop, Qi Han's decision was obviously correct.

Ying Shuang, being a student of Shrek Academy who wasn't selected for the competition team, couldn't take leave to go to Star Luo City. Ji Yunruo, as a member of the Tang Sect, couldn't easily go on such a long journey either.

Therefore, the atmosphere in the Small Shop became somewhat subdued for a moment.

Qi Han couldn't help but smile, "Don't worry, I won't stay in Star Luo City all the time. I will still focus on the Small Shop here. It's just that I'll temporarily run the shop over there for a while."

Upon hearing this, Ying Shuang and Ji Yunruo's expressions eased a bit.

After pondering for a moment, Fu Ya suddenly spoke up, "Boss, are you going to Star Luo City tomorrow?"

"Yes, most likely tomorrow." Qi Han nodded.

Since the Time-Limited Quest required selecting a suitable location within three days, it made sense to go there early.

"Then, boss, do you want to go with our Shrek Academy's representative team?" Fu Ya hesitated for a moment before suggesting.

"This..." Qi Han was slightly surprised. He originally planned to follow the team from the Feng Clan Convoy to Star Luo City tomorrow morning. Fu Ya's suggestion was unexpected.

However, after a brief hesitation, Qi Han still decided to decline.

Because he wasn't very familiar with the teachers and students of Shrek Academy. It would be awkward to travel with them.

Although he was also unfamiliar with the team from the Feng Clan Convoy, during the journey, he could focus on his own matters without engaging in much conversation. It was more manageable.

"When we were outside just now, I saw Dean Cao queuing up. He is leading the team this time. I can ask him for you, boss," Fu Ya offered. "Also, Senior Sister will also go with us as the team's guide."

"Okay, please do that." Qi Han changed his mind instantly.

Senior Sister didn't matter much to him, but he felt that Dean Cao's smile was very friendly and trustworthy. While he could inquire from Dean Cao himself, Fu Ya, being more familiar with Dean Cao as a reserve team member, might have better chances of getting a favorable response.

After the Small Shop closed tonight, she could ask Dean Cao about it. He should agree, right? Fu Ya thought with some anxiety.

While Fu Ya and Qi Han were talking, Ying Shuang and Ji Yunruo gradually opened up, no longer feeling low-spirited. The three girls soon finished their working meals and cleaned up the bowls and chopsticks.

As the time for reopening approached, Qi Han spoke again, "Fu Ya, when you take orders from the customers tonight, inform them that the Small Shop will temporarily close. Ying Shuang, we won't accept new takeaway orders tonight. Once you finish organizing the previous orders, it's enough. Yunruo, when you deliver the takeaways tonight, remember to inform the customers that the Small Shop is temporarily closed."

"Okay!" The three girls nodded in unison. Then, Fu Ya opened the door of the Small Shop, while the other two started to organize the prepared takeaways.

Dean Cao arrived early and walked into the Small Shop when Fu Ya opened the door. He took a seat by the window, intending to place an order.

However, before he could do so, Fu Ya took the initiative to speak, "Dean, the boss is also going to Star Luo City tomorrow. Since we are going in the same direction, can he join us?"

Hearing this, Dean Cao's first thought was:

Tomorrow, that kid won't open his restaurant?
