Chapter 21 – Finding Kobold Base.

{{I changed the kobold dungeons to normal ones, it didn't kind of made sense at the early chapters and needed to change it.}}

After I conquered the dungeon, the portal would open and after taking it I would get teleported to the dungeon entrance, the spot where I destroyed the fake wall. By the look of things, the fake wall that I destroyed got completely restored.

(Since the wall got restored, the only evidence of the hidden dungeon is no more. Unless somebody else find something about the out of place wall, until then only I know about the dungeon.)

I manage to left the cave without being seen by anybody and after doing that I found my self a spot to open of the reward boxes in peace.

(Well then, let's first try what reward I got from the dungeon.)

Forge beginned opening all the chest one by one, receiving not very good rewards.

(Wow, this is completely useless for me. They way better then the stuff NPCs were selling, but still not that good as my current equipment. The best item I got are the shield and the sword, they are better than the stuff I make. The sword I can probably sell to Hype, but the shield is other thing. Avalanche uses great shield (Big shield) and this is medium sized one, so it won't be too useful for him. Maybe I should use it to studies and stuff, I could probably run few experiment using it?)

(Anyway, why most of the rewards weren't that good? Maybe it was because the difficulty? If we compare that guy to cave bear, then cave bear was obviously harder to beat even when there was 3 of us, but at the end we received very good rewards.)

(So maybe diving into more difficult dungeons gives you better rewards? I have to ask other if that is really the case.)

(Let's forget about that for now and focus on something else)

"First thing first, [Status]"

[Level 54] [You have 2 unused class point(s).]

[Job Classes: [Blacksmith – Level 10/10] [Advance Blacksmith – Level 4/20] [Insectian Warrior – Beetle – Level 20/20] [Insectian Warrior –Rhino Beetle – Level 18/20.]

[You have leveled up the class: [Insectian Warrior – Rhino Beetle] to level 20.]

[Level of some skills related to [Insectian Warrior – Rhino Beetle] have been increased.]

(Since I maxed out my combat class, it's time to now level up [Advance Blacksmith] starting from now. After I max it out, should I pick new combat class or production class? Eh, never mind that right now, let's focus on the map for now.)

(To complete the map, I need to get two more pieces. The first piece was found inside of the hidden dungeon, meaning there is a chance that there are two more hidden dungeons somewhere else located in kobold territory.)

(The first dungeon that I found was hidden behind the fake wall that did not fit the place at all. Maybe I have to find another caves like this or something else that doesn't fit at all.)

"Let's get to work."

Forge beginned exploring different areas of the kobold territory, trying to find anything out of ordinally or not fitting at al.

After bit of searching, I manage to find the second cave in the north part of the kobold territory. I saw some players walk out of it and I manage to overhear their conversation, by the look of things they didn't found anything, but that didn't meant that I shouldn't still check. After they left, I quickly went inside of the cave and beginned inspecting the cave myself.

(Found it!)

Forge took out his hammer and smashed the wall, revealing the hidden path.

[You have discover hidden instance dungeon: Kobold Hidden Hideout #1]

[You have received new quest: Adventure Hidden Quest: Kobold Hidden Hideout #1]

"It's the same as last time and by the look of things the quest bonus is still active, meaning that group of players really didn't done this place. Good for me since now I can horde all the rewards for myself."

"Well then, let's quickly clear this place as well."

Sometime later.

[You have conquered dungeon: Kobold Hidden Hideout #1]

[You have completed the quest: Adventure Hidden Quest: Kobold Hidden Hideout #1]

[You have leveled up. You became level 55]

[You have been teleported to outside world.]

From the dungeon I got horn of the first son and map piece number 1.

(The boss monster this time was [Wind Mage] and [Fire Mage] class user. It was kind of harder than before since my armor only provide [Physical Defense], but in the end I manage to defeat the guy, but dealing with spell caster is way more annoying than I though. I currently don't have any means of making item with [Magic Defense] stat so it kind of make things bit more complicated. Kitty told me that there isn't that many items that increase [Magic Defense] in the game.)

(Well, sooner or later I will find out how to make item with [Magic Defense] so it's better for now to focus on finding the last hidden dungeon.)

The third and finally dungeon took quiet amount of time to locate. It located in east area of the kobold territory. After entering the cave, I just repeat the process of destroying the wall, getting the quest and then conquering the dungeon.

The boss monster of that place was [Archer] and [Shooter] class user. The fight wasn't that hard either, the only problem was with that bastard jumping around and then shooting me over and over again.

Well, in the end I manage to grab that bastard by the leg when he was jumping around and just slam him against the floor. This bastard was just plain annoying to deal with, wasn't hard or powerful, just plain annoying.

(Well I was kind of lucky if you look at it. I know about the weak sides and down sides thanks to the others who had those classes. I was gathering data from them for some of my research regarding equipment and specific classes combined together. If I bloody didn't do that the fight with all 3 of them would probably end up way harder.)

"Hm?"

[Items [Kobold Unknown Map Number 1], [Kobold Unknown Map Number 2] and [Kobold Unknown Map Number 3] are reacting to each other.]

[The item [Kobold Unknown Map Number 1], [Kobold Unknown Map Number 2] and [Kobold Unknown Map Number 3] have forcefully combined together!]

[You have received item: [Kobold Hidden Base Map]!]

[Kobold Hidden Base Map]

[A map that show exactly location of the kobold main base that was hidden with special method and could not be found by any means. The map shows the area where the entrance is located.]

(Huh, so it really worked. I should probably tell other about this, if by any chance they encounter something similar to this, but for now let's see what we got here..)

Forge took out the map item from inventory and beginned inspecting it.

(The map appearance is very similar to the mini map, so there shouldn't be finding it, I only have to find the spot on the mini map that fits the map location. Let's see now…. Hm? Wait a second, I don't have this place recorded on my mini map?)

[Mini Map]

[Mini map is one of the main tools used by the players to navigate in the world. The mini map originally starts blank and the person have to travel around to fill it up. This also rewards the player with small portion of EXP for their struggle.]

[There are 2 ways to fill the mini map.

-Do it personally or with somebody in the party.

-Receive map data from NPC, for example from the quest giving NPC (Note: This isn't always the case with NPC giving map data.).]

(There is no place like this on the mini map, so by any chance it's outside the kobold territory? Maybe that is a good thing? Players only come to the kobold territory to hunt and complete the quest. If that place is indeed outside the kobold territory, then I'm lucky.)

(Kitty, Hype and others who were beta testers told me that there was massive greed for the hidden quests since they could give you a nice boost to grow, but now that every hidden quest got reset and they are once again unknown to players.)

(The quest that can be reaped, I could sell the information about them and the quest with limited number of clear I should keep to myself, they said. However, if I were to sell the information, I should first do the quest for the first clear bonus.)

(But will really selling the information about hidden quest be worth much? I mean, so far, I only got not very good stuff from all 3 hidden dungeons so far, well I did get tons of EXP and Gold in the end thanks to dungeon bonus and the quest bonus to the point where I reached level 58 with ease, even though the monsters were lower level than me. Wouldn't selling the information about the dungeon and quest sell for more if I didn't done the first clear?)

(Let's forget about that right now and just focus on finding this bloody base.)

"Ah, right. I run low on potions. Back to the city first."

1 hour and 30 minutes later.

After returning back to the kobold territory, Forge beginned walking around outside the kobold territory in order to find out the place that fits the marked spot on the map.

(Bloody found it. It was way more far away from the kobold territory and it way longer to find then I though.)

(The map shows circle area around here, but I don't see anything. The things inside of the circle is this cliff wall and some things around it. I can see that there is path on the right that can be used to get on top of the cliff. The wall it self look normal unlike the fake walls, but just to make sure.)

Forge took out his hammer from inventory and tried smashing down the wall, he tried hitting the wall again and again, but in the end the wall didn't break.

"It didn't work, but this at least proven something. This isn't a normal wall. The attack from the players and monster can damage and destroy the environment and yet this bloody wall doesn't have a scratch or anything."

(Maybe there is something like a hidden switch or like a password?)

Forge took out the map from his inventory and approached the wall with the map in his hands, hopping for any reaction, but with no reaction what soever. He then took out the horns of the chieftain sons, but yet again no reaction.

(I already checked the wall, the ground and random stuff laying around. The only place that I have yet to check is on top of the cliff.)

Forge took the path he spotted before and manage to arrive on top of the cliff quiet quick.

"Hm… So far there is nothing eye catching or out of place."

(There are some rocks here and there and just plain grass. Maybe there is something like a button on the rocks or underneath them?)

Forge beginned inspecting all the rocks one by one, trying to find anything.

(Hm? There is a small hole underneath the rock? It's quite small and not that deep really. There is nothing inside of it as well, just a dirt, but isn't something off? The other rocks I flipped so far didn't had any holes.)

"Hm? By any chance…"

Forge beginned inspecting the rocks once again, but this time he just instantly flipped rocks, over and over again, until he found 2 more holes that were hidden beneath the rocks.

"So, I was right. The holes aren't that big and deep, but I have one thing one me that can fit those places perfectly.."

Forge took out the kobold chieftain sons horn and put each one in every hole he found.

After putting the last horn into the hole, a green glow begin to shine from the horn and moments later the ground begin shaking beneath Forge feet, but after few seconds it stopped.

(That did something, but I don't see any difference in here. Let's go check if something changed down below.)

After noticing nothing have change on top of the cliff, Forge went down using the path from before and found out the wall now has a wide hole in it.

"Aha! I was bloody right about that wall!"

[You have discover hidden dungeon: Kobold Hidden Base.]

[You have received a Unique Hidden quest: Deal With The Kobolds.]

[You have successfully manage to defeat all the kobolds chieftain sons and hinder their invasion plan that they were preparing, but it's not over. The kobold chieftain is planning on using the special ritual involving demons! Stop the kobold chieftain by all cost!

[Quest completion:

-Slay Kobold Chieftain Azruk.

[Failure condition:

-Fail the dungeon conquest once or don't finish the dungeon after 24 hours after receiving the quest.]

[Reward: ???]

[Failure Penalty:

-Kobolds will successfully summon the demons and they will become bigger threat than before.

-You favorability will all residence of the bronze wood city will decrees.]

[This quest is automatically accepted when generated.]

"…. Wait a second. Isn't something off?"

"The quest is automatically accepted? The unique hidden quest? Aren't unique hidden quest the hardest type of quest?! There is also a bloody penalty included!?"

"Who in their right mind made this quest?! You could at least give me a choice to accept it or not for crying out loud!"

"Fuck me…. Well, I wanted to play solo right for a bit, but I screw this. The favorability with the NPCs are quite important and there is also this summoning demon thing, I don't want to fuck around and find out what that is."

"My only choice is to call the others and tell them about the hidden dungeon. If we do this together, we may be able to succeed."

Forge tried sending the video request to all people he knew, but before he could do that, the system window appeared in front of him.

[The dungeon linked to this quest, specifical the: Kobold hidden hideout #1, Kobold hidden hideout #2 and Kobold hidden hideout #3. These dungeon are temporarily locked until you complete or fail the quest. Also, nobody but the person who possess kobold chieftain first, second and third son horns can enter the dungeon, the person who use their horn to activate the entrance can still enter.]

"...…...What the actual fuck?" – said Forge after real long pause.

"%^$#!$@#"

"THE FUCK IS THIS BULLSHIT?!"

"WHAT KIND OF SADISTIC BASTARD MADE THIS BULLSHIT?!"

Meanwhile at the SF (Star Fall) company building.

"Hm? Why I feel like somebody is trash talking me?"

[Game lead designer - A.K.A the sadistic bastard that made this bullshit.]

{{EXTRA}}

Skill and skill types.

[Skills]

Whenever player acquire or level up the skill, they may receive a skill. The number of the skills players get depends on the class max level, type and the skill power

Usually, the combat type classes receive not that many skills. Sometimes there are some classes that can get more skills than average combat class, but they often came with little draw back like big cooldown or other stuff.

The production type classes normally posses way more skills than combat type classes, but they are most of the time all only related to work, so they are posses no actual use in combat.

Skills are divided into multiple categories.

Active – A skill type that need to be activated by player by saying the skill name out loud. This type of skills posses the cost like paying with HP, MP or SP, if you don't have enough of the resource(s) to use the skill, the skill won't activate. The MONSTERS that can't speak human speach can still use skills.

Passive – Passive type skills are skills that are active all the time. They provide special bonus like for example deal increased damage or special effect that will automatically activate when specific condition are met.

Change – A skill type that changes the user body. When player first acquire the skill, their sense will go bit weird, this is because the configuration happening with their sense so they can use the extra body part without problem. They players that possess a tail or something that weren't on the human body will experience the same thing on the start.

The change skills are the like active skills, but you don't need to say the skill name out loud, unless the skill requires it.

Hybrid skills – Hybrid skills are the skills that falls into more that one category, for example the skill posses both active part and passive part.
