A gun was fired carelessly and blood splattered on the ground as the bullet had burrowed right through someone's forehead and fortunately for Sam, it wasn't his.
Sam was surprised that he wasn't shot and looked over his shoulder to see Max dead on the floor. He was relieved that the bullet wasn't for him but he knew what would happen if the zombies heard it, they would swarm the area.
Sam was puzzled as John didn't even point the gun at him but instead, strapped it on himself as he continued to try and get the door open.
"I always hated that fucker! Hey! Are you going to help me get this shit open?" John asked.
Sam didn't want to question it because John could easily have killed him if he wanted to at that very moment but he spared him.
He instead chose to kill his partner, which was strange but it also told Sam that this man had no sense of loyalty even though he didn't know the nature of their relationship.
Sam quickly rushed to aid him, the fact that he didn't kill him now meant that he needed him for some reason. Be it for security or to help protect him better because in actuality, Sam knew that killing Max at that moment was the most logical thing to do as he had essentially crippled the man and rendered him ineffective so maybe this man was playing the long game?
Sam helped as the body was moved and the door finally opened and beyond that door was an arsenal of weapons.
"Fucking jackpot!" John exclaimed as he rushed forward, Sam couldn't believe that the armory hadn't been raided yet but he was happy that it wasn't because now they had the necessary weapons to defend themselves for the time being.
"Hey, man! We did it!" John said to Sam, including him in this celebration.
"Why didn't you kill me?" Sam asked right there and then.
"I can tell you're a good guy and you're one of the best fucking fighters I have seen. You took on big Max like it was nothing, we could use someone with your skillset. You see, I had no choice. That fucker forced me to do this disgusting shit!" John cussed out loud.
He looked visibly angry but Sam was beginning to understand why he kept him alive.
It was simple, it was because he found a new man to render his services to but what did he mean by 'we'?
Sam was aware that they had another person with them but he didn't know the full details regarding this.
"It's a good thing I came along then." Sam joked, this man wasn't shaken despite taking a life meaning he had experience in this.
Sam was making observations throughout and he knew something was off about his story.
"Fuck yeah!" John responded and the men focused on the weapons.
They gathered as much ammunition as possible including weapons but Sam didn't know what to do with John.
"Where are you headed after this?" Sam asked John as both men were armed to the teeth.
"Me? I think I will go find a broad to stick my dick in, I have just the lady to wet my dick with," John was vulgar with his words but Sam's eyes slightly narrowed.
He liked that John was talkative, which was good because this way it would be easy to get the information needed.
"Hahaha! I cannot remember the last time I fucked someone," Sam blurted out, he needed to match John's energy to strike some sort of connection with the man.
"Damn! I have just the girl! I can promise you, she can definitely handle two dicks at once and that is me being nice. You feel me?" John said and Sam's eyes lit up the moment he heard this.
"For real!? Who is she? I have a type though. It might sound weird but I like girls that are manly-looking," Sam said with an embarrassed face and an awkward silence followed.
John looked him right in the eyes and Sam hoped he hadn't caught on but if he did, he was ready to dispatch him to the afterlife.
"Fuck! Trust me! The girl we will be fucking has all the muscles you can handle!" John reassured him.
"I see, so these are the men after her…" Sam thought to himself, his acting was impeccable and he extorted the information he was looking for by playing the fool.
Sam also knew that this man might be the key to getting to the settlement that Bella spoke about but he had a decision to make.

Clementine, amidst her thought, a gunshot echoed in the distance. Due to the baby not making a sound; the zombies no longer had a reason to be saturated here and they began walking in the direction of the gunshot but the dogs bolted on all fours like vicious beasts.
They left the other zombies behind but this was good for Clementine, she didn't need to do anything to get out of this situation because it had resolved itself.
"Sam, you better be fine!" Clementine said under her breath because the gunshot was coming from that direction.
She knew that Sam could handle himself and that was why she wasn't about to worry about him but she also thought that the gunshot was to signify that he had gotten the guns.
In which case, Clementine had to get the hell out of her, thanks to the baby being in the womb of a zombie, the other zombies couldn't perceive it and she didn't need to cover it in the guts of zombies but she didn't know what to do with the boy.
She wondered if that was why the dogs were so vicious, were they reacting to him?
There was no way that this boy was immune to the virus but Clementine owed it to herself to find out just what he was.
