Chapter Forty-four

Words could not describe the kind of happiness that flooded Henry's heart as he looked out the window of the taxi he had boarded. The scenery was not what he was expecting. It was indeed a far cry from his mental image, but that didn't dampen his spirit one bit. He was finally out of his mother's grasp and although his father was here in New York, he wasn't bothered. His father was still actively trying to get on his good side so he was sure to have his freedom. All his life, all he dreamed of was to leave the country for his university and he finally had that. He had originally thought that convincing his mother to allow him was going to be as hard as pushing a cow through a needle's eye, but after everything that had happened with is dad and Blair, all he had to do was say the words and that was that.
