I refuse to accept that she can be this cruel
It a beautiful sunny day and Minji is in the royal garden reading a book.
Minji has always loved reading. He had started to read at a very young age and as he grow older he found joy in books especially adventure and romance books. Adventurous books are what lead him to start sneaking out of the palace, out of curiosity of what he could discover and romance books are the reason why he day dreams of having a typical love story that comes straight from a book.
At the moment he was reading a romance book full of adventures.
"You highness, the head alpha wishes to speak with you in his chamber" one of his father's personal guard informed him.
"Any ideas what he wants to talk about?" Minji asked out of curiosity. Anyone who knew him knows that he is a very curious omega, a habit that he inherited from his mother.
"No your highness, I have no clue" after the guard said that, Minji stood up and started walking to his parents' chamber with his guards and maids following him.
"May I come in father?" He asked and was allowed inside.
"You don't usually ask for permission before coming in our chamber, what changed now? His father ask with a chuckle. "After walking in on both of you being all romantic and kissing each other, I promised my self to knock before coming in" Minji said and they all laughed at that.
A few days ago Minji walked in on his parents kissing- it wasn't a french kiss, just a small peck on the lips- he felt like he was intruding on their private moment. Of course he didn't tell his parents that that's what he was thinking because he knew that they will just tell him that he did that as a child and they are used to it, so he just said that it was a disturbing scene to see. They knew that he was lying because he is the biggest fan of the love between them but they didn't want to make a big deal out of it.
"So you called for me dad" Minji said after they had stopped laughing. He calls his parents formally when people are around but when they are alone he calls them mum and dad.
"Well yes, I wanted to tell you that we are going to have guests the day after tomorrow" his father said with something hidden behind his words.
"I'm sure that's not the reason why you called me, you could have sent someone to inform me of this so just tell me what you want to say directly please" Minji said getting a bit scared since his father has never been one to beat around the bush.
"The Jeon family is coming to visit" his father said
"And?" Minji asked knowing that there is more

"We have arranged your matting with Jeon Jungwoo and they are coming here to discuss about the matting" his father finally said what he wanted to say after the long silence and Minji felt like everything around him had stopped at that moment.
"what? WHAT!" Minji screamed "why would you arrange a person for me to mate, especially since I've clearly stated that I only want to mate someone I love, you promised me that I wouldn't be like those omegas born in the head alpha's family, you promised you wouldn't trade me for our pack!"
" Minji I am not trading you" his father said
" Yes dear, we would never do that to you, you're our little fairy" his mother added.
"No, no no no, mum you have to tell him that this is wrong, I won't agree to this, I won't mate someone I don't even know " Minji said as tears streamed down his face.
"Listen my little fairy, we didn't want to tell you this but I guess I'm forced to. Your mother is going to pass away soon and I'll follow her, all we want is to make sure that we leave you in good hands" his father said.
Mates die together, so when Minji's mother dies his father will die not long after her.
"B-but wh... I don't want you to leave" Minji cried, forgetting about the matting talk after hearing the terrible news about his parents.
"We don't want to leave you too but there's nothing we can do, that's the reason we want you to mate Jungwoo, I want to die knowing that I saw my little fairy matted and to someone from a good family. I want you to have a family even after we're gone" his father said hugging Minji as he sobbed in his arms.
"We trust the Jeon family more than anyone else in this world and that's why we are trusting them with you. You and your mate will rule both the packs together." His father continued " I could have left my royal adviser to take care of the pack until you find someone you love who shall become the next leader but I can't take that risk with my only child, everyone will try their best to become the next leader, even if it means killing you"
"Jungwoo will protect you, and will fall in love you with you as he gets to know you, no one can resist my little fairy's beauty and lovely nature" his mother said with a chuckle, Minji ran to her and hugged her as he continued to cry.
"The moon goddess will not be so cruel to me, she can't be so cruel and take you two away from me, I refuse to accept that she can be this cruel " Minji said as he kept on crying
"She is not cruel dear, I was supposed to die when I gave birth to you but she kept me alive, long enough to get the chance to see you grow up into such a beautiful omega and long enough to witness your matting ceremony if you agree" his mother said
"We do not wish to force you into this we are simply trying to do what is best for you, but if you refuse then we will never speak of this ever again" his father said not wanting their child to feel like he is being emotionally blackmailed.
"I refuse, I won't mate him, I refuse " Minji said and stormed out of his parents' chamber crying.
