Kate and Lina remained as the only intact statue left standing amongst all the others of their group that are now merely shells of their former selves. Both literally and figurately as well. Literal in that there was were actual shells of them lying around the summoning area. The shells are the remains of their minds and bodies. The figurative part is that their souls that were converted into weapons were also nothing but shells of who they had once been as humans. They might have retained the ability to assume a humanoid form but they were no longer human. The weapon they had been smelted and forged into was their true form now. Whatever powers they had gained coming here were no longer there to control anymore. Not they could in the first place anyway given they had a single clue how anything in this world worked after all.
The fates of Kate and Lina were unknown because there was no one that was capable of acquiring the weapon that was supposedly within them or discovering they were both duds in the group they were summoned to this world with. Thus they were alone amongst the rumble that was once the other passengers and crew that was on the same plane as them. None of them thinking at if the idea of being iskeaied/summoned to another world was real and/or that they would end up in the state they are currently in. Not as heroes purposefully or accidentally summoned to this world but instead kidnapped to used for the native's own personal profit as literal weapons for combat. For there was no threat of a Demon King, other forces/threats, or anything like that. This was merely a business transaction that happened and they were the product to be acquired and sold off after being properly processed.
Being mere statues the twins just stayed where they were motionless as they might have been the last two standing but that was in the sense that they were the last two fully intact. The two of them were on their knees with their legs stretched out behind them. The two were holding handings but it was just one hand with the other lying loosely at their side. They were both looking directly at each other with blank and expressionless looks on their faces as they stared into each other eyes that were vacant lifeless orbs.
Everything remained still and quiet around them the only sounds being the ones made by those in the other rooms of this place they were in at the moment. The room they were summoned into was merely one of many but they were never able to learn that given what they were summoned for. Eventually, though the one that oversaw the their summoning and transformation returned. Seemingly done with everything for the day they came over to where the Kate and Lina statues were.
They then walked over to where the twins were located and then took a good look at the duo. Examine them from head to toe a few times before stepping back to gather his thoughts. Once he had and voiced them, the twins sat there as silent watchers as the clean up of the rumble that was once all the others that were with them were cleaned up. What would happen to them was unknown to the twins since they were seemingly just a pair of statues at the moment thus they were not even aware of their surroundings. As they were either weapons inside of a statue shell or actual statues as the process had failed with them. There was no telling for sure though there was a fifty fifty shot it was one or the other.
Once everything but them was cleaned up they were carried away to the storage dust to collect dust except when brought out to see if anyone could obtain the weapon(s) that was supposedly dwelled inside of them. Transporting of them back and forth to the storage area was not done by humans but by sentient weapons, since they were life size human statues. They were not light but weighed as much as statues normally do and that was double because there were two of them.
The twins managed to dodge a bullet. Being labeled a dud could eventually lead to them being dismantled as what good was a weapon that could be accessed? Thus duds were melted down and converted to use as a mere coating for more traditional weapons and armor. For those that could afford it just mere weapons made of soul metal, the substance they had become. It could be used as a type of metal but having a traditional weapon or armor that was made of it completely rather than just a coating was vastly more expensive and time consuming.
