The Rescue Begins

For the next few seconds, Jagat was at a loss as to how to save Gendis, who was about to be placed in a room inside a pole connected to the roof of the building.

Gendis was also in a weakened state, and if Jagat called out to her through the inner voice now, it would only worsen matters. He had done that before when he rescued Gendis from Nini Gundari's house, and it had failed.

The only way was to get Gendis away from the four people leading her.

Jagat began the rescue operation. He walked quickly toward Gendis. Some guards watched him with sharp eyes, but they let him go. He kept his body as relaxed as possible to avoid arousing too much suspicion.

Gendis' look was so sad and weak. This poor girl's fate was genuinely tragic. After her parents died, her grandfather met the same fate. And now she had to suffer in the demon world.

He used to hear about people who suddenly disappeared for no apparent reason. Does that mean demons kidnapped them?
