Taking Children home

In his mute state, Jagat inquired about Gendis' condition after taking her to Demon Cave. She was still too weak to recognise Jagat's name or even to say it.

Jagat tries to speak to Gendis, even though he knows she is unlikely to be able to respond. Jagat tries to encourage her by touching her shoulder and telling her they will find a way out together.

Meanwhile, inside the Demon Cave, the small children Nyai Rasmi has taken in are a source of anxiety. 

{How do we get them back to their parents, Nyai? }

"I've been thinking about that, Jagat. But why did Kakang Sabrang take so long to come back? What's going on?"

{Let me see, Nyai}

"Don't. It's too dangerous. I just wanted to let you know that you stand guard here. Gendis will need you when she wakes up."

Nyai Rasmi explained that it would take several days for her mind and body to return to normal. During that time, Jagat could find a way to return her to her parents.
