Unfortunate protagonist

Protagonist:

It was the most embarrassing evening of my life. No matter how hard they tried, I couldn't do anything. How could I fail the mission at such a moment? As a result, Xu Yan's mother left greatly disappointed, and Xu Yan was furious with me, scolding me harshly. I eventually escaped from there and found myself sitting in a bar, drowning my sorrows and trying to figure out how to move on.

While sitting in the bar, I heard the system's notification:

*Ding!*

[Mission from the system: Join a Sect, Choose one]

1. Whispering Gale Sect - Enrollment available in two days; you can simply apply and join.

Success - Reduce last punishment to three months, and gain entry into the sect.

Failure - Your PP will be impotent for ten years.

2. Sects in other provinces within six months.

Success - Gain entry into the sect.

Failure - Your PP will wither and fall off. Why keep something useless? Your enemies will trace your path, and you'll have to save yourself.

3. Stop and live in the mortal world for 3 years without using spiritual energy.

Success: You will start the whole path anew.

Failure: Your family's enemies will find you.

As the protagonist, I carefully weighed my options, and the first choice seemed to be the best. If I remain inconspicuous for a couple more days, with my cultivation level, I can easily join the Whispering Gale Sect. The second option is immediately out of the question, given recent events, anything can happen, and in case of failure, death would be preferable. The third option feels too boring.

In the end, I decided to go with the first option and join the Whispering Gale Sect. It's a sect, and that means I can carve out my own path there and build my harem of beauties. Ah, there must be some saintess or ice-cold beauty, and maybe even a lovely loli in the sect! Just wait for me!

Then I remembered certain circumstances and felt a bit down, but on the other hand, waiting for a little while longer wouldn't be a problem. Soon, I'll be back to normal!

System I choose 1 option.

*Ding* was my reply

As I continued drowning my sorrows in the local bar, I couldn't help but miss the alcohol from my previous world. The local drinks were all of poor quality, either resembling moonshine or some mix of it. I sighed as I sipped on what they called "Spiritual Fruit Wine" which wasn't much different from the other drinks served in the restaurant.

Suddenly, several people wearing the robes of the Eternal Flame Sect barged into the bar. They rudely occupied a table that was already taken, forcing the previous occupants to leave. Annoyed by their behavior, I adjusted my hood to hide my face better. If it weren't for my need to stay low-profile, I might have confronted them and taught them some manners. From their cultivation levels, it was clear they were new disciples from the same region, probably accepted into the sect while en route or even in this town. What a bunch of pests!

I choose to eavesdrop on their conversation, one of the shorter red-haired guys spoke up, asking about a certain "bald and grim-looking elder brother Wang." I racked my brain trying to recall if I had heard about this "elder brother Wang" they mentioned, given that there were plenty of bald and grim-looking individuals in the sect.

"No, what's the deal?" replied another guy.

"Well, you know, that tall bald guy who hardly ever talks and always looks gloomy?" The red-haired guy lowered his voice.

"No, whatever, what about him?" asked the guy at the table, calling the waiter over and demanding meat and wine.

"Well, you won't believe this, but his personal servant from our group told me that he acquired some vase and a bunch of spiritual stones." The red-haired guy continued in a hushed tone.

I felt a surge of excitement and tensed up, but then I quickly reminded myself of my situation. He's probably talking about the jerk who robbed me. I settled back down and focused on enhancing my hearing with spiritual energy to make sure I wouldn't miss anything important.

"He apparently pulled off some kind of deal and obtained that pile of spiritual stones. I don't know how many there were, but with the vase, he spent hours examining it. And then, for some reason, he went crazy and crushed the vase into dust. It's a shame; the guy said the vase was beautiful."

Bloody Hell, Fuck, my vase, my dual cultivation method! I'll kill that brother Wang!

The guy at the table chuckled and shrugged, seemingly uninterested in the vase.

"Well, it's just a vase and some stones. So what? He bought, steal, or found them, so what?"

"What's amusing about this whole story is that there are rumors that he caught some man-whore and took him somewhere. Hahaha! I don't know what they did, but after that, he managed to find the stones and the vase. He returned looking happier than ever. But now, people think he's gay because of the whole incident. Hahaha!"

I clenched my fists, feeling a mix of emotions. They were indeed talking about the items that were taken from me, but the rumors about the "man-whore" were irritating and embarrassing.

I decided to keep my cool and wait for more information. Perhaps there would be an opportunity to reclaim some of my stolen items later, but for now, I had to bide my time and be cautious.

As I continued to eavesdrop on their conversation for another half-hour, I couldn't find any more useful information. It seemed that they were just gossiping and didn't have any significant insights.

Frustrated and disheartened, I decided to listen to what other people talk about . To my surprise, people were reminiscing about how I had interacted with and helped the young master Yang. But what shocked me the most was the rumor circulating about me being a male prostitute! How could they tarnish my reputation like this? It was utterly untrue, and I felt deeply offended by the slander.

"Hey, waiter! More wine!" I called out, hoping the alcohol would help me forget about the malicious rumors spreading about me.

What a bad week I have
