The Ruined Nagazora

Nagazora, once a prosperous and lively city, has now been reduced to ruin, as the devastation and destruction brought upon it was evident for all to see.

In fact, it isn't wrong to say that it has become a dead city.

Now, its only residents were the numerous zombies and honkai beasts that filled the once quite streets.

Wind was displaced, atmosphere thinning as a burst of fire burned the approaching honkai zombies to ashes.

"Hey, Olivia?"

Adam withdrew his extended arm, putting his hands on his pockets as there were no honkai zombies or beasts around him anymore.

"Hm? What is it?"

Answered Olivia as she cut down 3 honkai zombies with a single slash of her sword.

"Can you protect me for a few seconds?" The silver haired boy stated his request "This sword I made you should easily cut down even honkai beasts…. And with your experience, I don't think you'll have a problem".

 Of course, he certainly didn't need protection. But he was not a masochist, so if he could avoid a few potential scratches by having her keep watch, why wouldn't he do it?

"Sure"

Olivia instantly appeared in front of him with a burst of speed, her back towards him.

Raising her arm, blue particles appeared in her palm. They seemed fluid yet intense, as if ready to coalesce and shout out to any daring threat.

"It seems that you have finally started using the skill I gave you"

Seeing the blue particles and sensing them with his [Magic Sense], Adam smiled.

-It was the skill he bestowed upon her, [Mana Manipulation]

"Aha, of course!" She smiled, eyes curving in a moon shape "I never realised how much mana I processed only until you gave me this skill"

Every human from her universe processes mana. But they can't use it instinctively. They need skills to use their mana and shape it into something

"I still can't believe the fact that you have never though of making this skill…."

The silver haired boy sighed in disappointment at her lack of common sense

…Well, it seemed that her common sense was a bit skewed. 

She could create any skill, and thus any magic spell she wanted at any time, so it seemed that for Olivia, there was no need to research magic and manually develop the use of her own magic power

"...Will you stop mentioning that?"

She pouted, cheeks flashing with a faint red hue of embarassment

"Only if you become an expert and can manipulate your mana to do anything"

He smiled at her playfully

"Okay, okay. I'll try my best, my kidnapper!"

Olivia rolled her eyes, playfully referring to him by the nickname she had used in that cave.

"...."

Adam didn't reply. Instead, He focused his attempt inwards, towards the Chat Room.

[Good Slime has sent you a gift]

The silver haired boy pressed the [Accept] button-

Instantly, something appeared in front of him, popping into existence

Plop

As Rimuru's gift landed on his open palm, Adam couldn't help but widen his eyes when he registered its presence

It was-

"A small Rimuru?!"

That's right. It was a small blob of blue slime- barely larger than his palm

It was…. A smaller and lifeless version of his friend's slime form?

[Tmuru wants to contact Great Sage]

Adam blinked as he heard that, staring at the small slime in front of him in a daze

"Tmuru….? Really….?"

Eyebrows twitching at the ridiculous name, Adam accepted it request

[Connecting with Tmuru…. Success]

Suddenly, the inanimate slime moved. It stretched, undulating as if coming to life

Information flooded his mind, bringing with it an intimate connection with the slime in front of him

"....."

It paused in its motions-

And, as if controlled by an external force, the slime flattened. Staring from his palm, it expanded, slowly but surely enveloping his whole right arm

Moments later, it enveloped all of his body, coating and sticking to him

With a slight flick, the slime transformed into actual clothing

Now….

He is dressed in a sophisticated, dark-toned outfit, with a coat with a visible, detailed, light-blue/cyan accent pattern on the jacket and vest. 

He was wearing dark-colored, formal trousers and black dress shoes with a noticeable buckle detail. 

Combined with his striking, silver hair that is styled neatly and falls in a fairly even way around his face, and his gorgeous blue eyes, it wouldn't be wrong to call him 'one of the most handsome men alive'

-That's right

This inanimate slime had the ability to change forms. And as it supposedly was from Rimuru's body, it also had regeneration and was almost immune to physical attacks!

[Asterios: Nice! Thanks Rimuru! This just solved one of my problems!]

[Good Slime: Ah? You're welcome!]

[Good Slime: Though, what problem did it solve for you? I personally thought that it would make your activities safer]

[Asterios: The problem of clothes…. I don't want to be naked every time after a hard fight, you know?]

[Good Slime: Oh, right! I had forgotten this problem since…. I could just create clothes from my body]

Exiting the chat, Adam rolled his eyes

As soon as this notification rang through his mind, a translucent, colorless camera appeared a couple of meters away from him, pointing at his visage

"Moshi moshi?" Adam instantly spoke as he faced the camera "Hello hello?"

While waving at the camera, he opened the Chat feature

[Kazuma: Why is it that every time I see you, you get more handsome?!]

Kazuma, the goofy gender equality guy, commented as soon as the livestream was on

[Homura: Shouldn't these words come from a female?]

[Red Princess: Indeed, Kazuma-san. How did you notice the difference between his current and previous appearance? Were you closely observing him?]

[Shiraori: Sus….]

"Ahem!"

The 'handsome' person in question coughed loudly

"I know I'm handsome…." Seeing them stop talking, Adam spoke up "-But there is no need to specifically mentions this- especially you, Kazuma"

[Red Princess: I see. As expected of a harem protagonist. Though, Adam-kun, it took far longer than I thought]

[Just Monika: ...]

[Shiraori: Hey~! Is that a sword on her waist? She seems like a badass warrior!]

[Phoenix: Um…. Aren't her clothes a bit weird?]

[Homura: Indeed, they don't seem modern]

"Olivia…." With twitching eyes, Adam ignored the members' surprise "I told you that I was from another world, right?"

[Red Princess: You brought this upon yourself!]

"As much as I like your chattering…. I still have a friend I need to save"

Adam looked away, ignoring their chattering as he looked towards a specific location.

-It was Chiba Academy, the place with that has the largest concentration of honkai energy

[Red Princess: That girl which could go berserk and potentially destroy a city?]

[Chat Group Member (Kazuma) has been unbanned]

[Kazuma: Hah?! You weren't joking!?]

[Just Monika: I'm surprised that you all remember his passing remark….]

[Red Princeess: Ms. AI, we don't have your extraordinary memory, but we are not that forgetfull]

[Just Monika: I- Honestly, I can't even deny that]

[Good Slime: Uhm…. I also remember it….?]

By the time he and Olivia arrive at Chiba academy, the worst wouldn't have happened

Or at least, the silver haired boy is sure that Kiana wouldn't start fighting with Mei at that time
