Disciple(2 in 1 Chapter)

Roland's body ascended to the heavens. The magastic pearly gates in front of him, the 'plump' and soft clouds in his face and the hug white wings wrapping around his back, Roland felt closer to the ultimate enlightenment.

'Is this the nirvana that the great Buddha talks about? In his teachings?'

'Ignorance is bliss.' Roland thought as he forgot all about his problems.

He took a deep breath as he floated towards the pearly gates but all good things must come to an end...

Suddenly the pearly gates and everything in sight started to fade away, his peaceful state of mind started gaining awareness. Roland was annoyed that his sleep was coming to an end. 

He for some strange reason had slept like a baby and was finding it hard to wake up, one could say he was in heaven.

Waking up, Roland's body was embraced by an angel, two soft clouds had cradled his head, warm arms and legs wrapped around his body.

"Good morning" from the darkness, the voice of the girl drifted into Roland's ears. Roland felt her body clinging onto him.

'This is unscientific! Is this how guys with girlfriends feel? It's addictive!' Roland suddenly anticipated waking up.

She reached out her hand and a soft light appeared on her palm. 

"Good morning, how was your sleep?" 

Roland felt that the girl was to close to him and deep down his heart was racing and his hormones were the fuel.

"It was nice." The girl had a beaming smile on her face, and there was a small disturbance in her eyes.

An awkward silence filled the room soon after, Roland was never the social type, he mustered the courage and asked.

"Things happened so fast yesterday, I didn't get the chance to ask for your name." Roland stated.

"Oh it's Fifi but I don't mind if you call me big sister, were equal partners afterall." The girl replied with a shy expression, referring to the contract they signed.

"That's a lovely name. My name is Roland." 

When the girl heard Roland's words, she couldn't help but blush. Luckily Roland wasn't paying attention.

Just as the awkward silent started to settle in, they heard the door opening up. Fifi reacted quickly and disappeared into the tunnel.

The door opened and a curtain of light was casted, a robed figure appeared carrying food.

"Eat."

A familiar, deep and hoarse voice sounded. Roland looked closely but he couldn't see anything distinct. 

"Hello again, Ms." Roland greeted. He received the tray and started eating.

'I need to try and boot up the system, the quicker the better. I also need to try and find a way out of here! Maybe I need to ask Fifi'. Roland thought while he ate.

"How did you know it was me." the gaurd asked suddenly. 

"I'll tell you if you give me some bread!." 

"No, that's impossible." A snappy reply came.

"Could it be possible for you to leave the tray with me, the problem is, I get hungry during the day and I need to eat." Roland didn't know why but he felt like this girl was simple.

"No, finish up!" the girl increased her volume. 

'Whats up with the inconsistency in her personality', Roland lamented and gave the tray back, he wanted to save some food for Fifi but alas.

The guard closed the door and the room was plunged into darkness again.

"Little brother, you don't have to worry about me, I'm pretty strong so I can go a couple of weeks without food." After a few minutes past, Fifi came out and whispered with a beat red face.

'Unlike most kids he seems mature and caring of others, I wonder how that came to be at such a young age.' Fifi lowered her head and smiled. Roland didn't know that he was created a strong impression in Fifi's mind.

"Big sister what do you know about this place? Do you know the way out?" Roland asked

"Hmm hmm, but I think there is a person who might know. Besides my cell was a person who claimed to have been a guard and was imprisoned later. If that doesn't work, we'll just ask around." Fifi shook her head and answered.

Roland then fell into thought before deciding to go down.

Fifi decided to tag along with Roland, Roland didn't see anything wrong, so he agreed. They went into the tunnel and followed the path.

The tunnel was vertical, it was much harder to safely climb down but Roland had made holes on the wall to make it easier for climbing. Pretty soon they climbed down and arrived at the locker/staffroom.

"Those two idiots, they deserved their fates!"

"Apparently they still haven't found a single trace of where the prisoner went!" 

When Roland approached the staff room he started hearing voices, so they stopped and observed.

There was a group of guards sitting in the staff room, some of them had taken off their cloaks.

"Yeah, now this crazy old man has increased our shifts and working days." 

"Shhh, Careful someone might hear you. The last guy who was caught talking badly was also locked up, poor dude had to watch his family die." 

"I heard he is locked up on this floor as well."

Roland and Fifi eavesdrop on the conversation for about thirty minutes before the group got up and left. 

Just as Roland and Fifi exit the tunnel, another group of guards came in so they quickly hid behind a locker.

"Which hole could this damn prisoner have hidden in? And those two idiots!" One of the guards shouted as he removed his cloak.

Roland and fifi peeked and listened to their conversation.

"Anyway, does anyone know how long this will go on? I already didn't like being in this dark and creepy place" A female guard asked in displeasure

"I'm not sure but I think tomorrow they plan to search each and every cell on every floor, so it's gonna be extremely busy." Another female guard said

"Yeah, we are currently waiting for some extra hands. They plan to search the entire prison in one go" added a female guard.

The guards were all sitting around the small circular table.

Roland and Fifi eavesdrop a bit more and got some valuable information.

"I heard it was a beautiful prisoner, hopefully they don't kill her or rather I find her first, out the things I'd do to her ." the male guard said as he locked the door and took off his clothes. The other guards who were all female also took off their clothes.

'I was wondering as to why they were mostly female. Is God mocking me? I doubt we'll be able to reach that person anytime soon. *sigh*', Roland lamented as a scene unfolded before his very eyes.

Roland suddenly thought of a serious disease from his previous world that affected more then 57% of the male population, 'blue balls'.

A woman sat on the table with her legs spread apart, the man was standing between them and pistoning his hips back and forth. 

Roland who was deep in thought, when suddenly he felt the breathing besides him getting warm and uneven. 'What the?Don't tell me she's enjoying the 'show!' Or rather she's not used to It? Also why is she so close?'

"Hey Fifi, what are they doing" Roland turned around with a confused expression...

Fifi's face turned beat red, she had been to focus or unfocused that she 'dozed off'. She now remembered that Roland was a 'innocent' 'kid' and might not know this stuff, "This is adult stuff and a kid like you shouldn't being seeing this", Fifi said as she covered his eyes.

'Ha ha it's just sex no big deal! I've seen this scene alot of times.' Roland laughed in his head. He teased, "Big sister, since your an adult, does that mean you've also done It?"

But the devil was in the details, he 'seen' but not 'done' it. Although he sounded innocent and he thought himself more 'mature', he was slightly uncomfortable with Fifi's hand on his face.

Fifi's face turned blood red when she heard the question but luckily it was dark so Roland couldn't see her. "What nonsense are you asking about, little kids shouldn't be asking these questions." 

"So big sister has?" 

"No I haven't, stop asking me." She almost shouted but kept her voice low. 'I don't want him to think of me in a bad light.'

"Ohh ok, I'll stop." Roland decided to stop teasing her when she started pinching him, he was afraid that they'd get caught and she'll hurt him.

Time slowly passed and the group had their fun and left.

"Let's go before more guards come. I don't think we'll be able to enter today." Roland said as they left. Roland took another cloak and they entered the tunnel. 

They climbed up and halfway, Roland decided to make another path. He placed his hands on the wall in front of him. He planned to dig a horizontal path. The prompt sounded and he accepted. 

Fifi who was above him had lit up the tunnel stopped and looked at him, wondering why he stopped.

When she looked back, she saw him place his hand on the wall and soon after, a small hole mysteriously appeared. She was dumbfounded but she didn't ask.

Roland did this over and over on the same spot until it was wide enough to fit a person, he continued to 'dig' straight ahead.

He dug a 2 meter tall and a five meter long tunnel before he decided to go back down. Fifi didn't questioned him and just crawled behind him.

The prompts kept playing in his head and Roland continuously accepted.

'What the hack is happening, why haven't I reached anything yet.' After some hours of straight digging, Roland was getting tired but he kept at it.

He kept 'digging' for a while longer when suddenly, the ground beneath his feet collapsed and he fell and hit the ground.

"Are you ok?"

"Yeah I'm oka..." Roland answered as he rubbed his head when he stopped and realise that it wasn't Fifi's voice that had just asked him.

Roland looked up to see an old man. The old man had grey hair that looked like a lion's mane but was completely white, his face was that of a kind grandparent with a few wrinkles.

The old man was tall in stature, under his rags, Roland could see mountains upon mountains of muscles.

"Are you alright kid?" The old man walked up to him and spoke, he used one hand to pick Roland up, before gently placing him back down.

The rule in nature dictated, As soon as two animals crossed paths, they would instantly know who was the prey and who was the predetor. Just like a lion and a gazel or a lone hyena and a lone lion saw each other. Roland didn't know why but his body shivered when the old man looked at him. It was as if his body was telling him to run.

Those bright eyes seemed to not be looking at him but looking deep into his soul.

"Calm down, I won't hurt you." a calm yet deep voice sounded, Roland felt that the voice carried immense power.

Suddenly, as if it were a misleading lie, the fear that Roland had been feeling disappeared. His body stopped trembling and sweating and he felt very relaxed, even his guard had dropped.

'This man is scarier than that old man! Meanwhile I still haven't started the system!' Roland's heart which should have been pounding fast was beating at a normal pace.

"I've never seen a guard wearing those tattered clothes. To what do I owe this visit?" The man's words were calm and relaxed. Roland found multiple meanings behind them.

The old man knew he wasn't a guard, and was asking him what he wanted, but his tone was different. Roland also felt a threat from his words.

'This man is not simple!' For some reason, despite the situation, Roland couldn't bring himself to panic, his body was still under the man's spell.

"I'm not a guard and my name is Roland." Roland responded nervously, he didn't want to upset the person.

"You don't seem sure yourself! What are you looking for?." The old man patted Roland's head, like he was a child. He looked emotional when doing so.

"Roland! Are you ok?" 

Just than, Fifi's anxious voice came from up the tunnel. She had been following behind Roland and suddenly became worried when she didn't find any traces of him.

"Ohh looks like there's more of you." the old man muttered under his breath. The old man looked up and said, "Why don't you come down here little girl."

*thud*

A moment later, Fifi landed on the ground, she was ready for battle but her expression changed when she saw the old man. She reacted much worse then Roland did, her body trembled uncontrably.

"Calm down little birdy, what's your name?" The man asked again. 

"It's Fifi", Fifi's eyes opened even wider. This mysterious man could see through her identity, and as if bewitched by his words, she told him the truth. Although he had a smile, she knew that this person was dangerous.

"Be honest with me, how did you guys get down here! And what are you looking for?" The old man gave them a bright smile.

Roland felt hia mind weaver and than he began to tell the man his story, he didn't mention the system or his previous life. He didn't know why but he felt like this man was even scarier than the old man and he couldn't even think of lying.

"Can you really remove the restraints?" The old man suddenly interrupted with surprise in his voice.

'He still has his restraints, so that can't be the case, but i wanna see what intresting means he has.' The old man thought.

Roland hesitated for a sec but after some thought he did it. 

'Judging by how scared Fifi was, I'm sure this guy can kill us both so I might as well show some value.' Roland than demonstrated by removing the restraints on the old man 

The chains turned into dust and crumbled to the ground. When the restraints were removed the man's body seemed to grow taller and his muscle got bigger.

The old man was shocked, he had been staring intensely at the restraints but he still didn't see anything.

"Ha ha ha Ha, that's some impressive ability you've got there!." The man started laughing, his words and laughter caused the room to shake. 

Roland and Fifi covered their ears in pain, they felt like their ears were about to burst.

'These people are scarier then I thought! How were they able to capture someone like him.' Roland revaluated his predicament.

"Sorry about that, I got a little carried away." the old man said with a wide grin on his face. 

'Looks like the world has changed again since I've been gone.' The old man thought.

"But I've never heard of someone who could do that." the man murmured under his breadth. 

He fell into silence, seemingly in his thoughts, occasionally he'd glance at Roland than shake his head. After a while he sighed.

"Little brother thank you, to return this favour, I'll help you get out." the old man said as he sat down. Even while he was sitting down he was still taller then both of them. "First things first, I'll tell you what this place is...."

The man began to explain what he knew... First things first this place was an ancient dragon tomb. When the words "dragon tomb" were mentioned, Roland saw the shocked look on Fifi's face.

In the primodial era, after a long life, dragon emperor's typically built tombes to preserve their bodies and tresures. 

The problem is that, these places were not only filled with scary traps that could kill even the strongest people if they took even one mistep but were also guarded by strong people.

The was normally three areas to a dragon tomb, the outer area, the inner area and lastly the core area. 

Conserning the group that kidnapped them the old man didn't know much about them as they were mysterious but he suspected that it was a group that was aiming for the treasure.

As to why they captured so many people and didn't even make use of them the old man didn't know.

The prison itself was huge, it was mainly underground and consisted of ten floors with over a hundred captives on each floor. Most captives here were tuned into slaves to work at the mines, while the rest were kept for unkown reasons.

The captives were placed in different floors based on how dangerous or how valuable they were. Roland was previously on the third floor and later moved to the forth floor. He found Fifi on the seventh floor and they were currently on the tenth floor.

Roland and Fifi were surprised by how much information the old man knew, dispute being a captive as well.

"Concerning your escape, I think I may have a way to send you guys out, my power is still recovering so I'm gonna need a few days. It's quite dangerous outside so you guys need to be careful when you get outside." The man said after responding 

"Wait! your not coming with us? Why stay here?" Roland was surprised when he heard that it would be dangerous outside and that the old man won't be joining them.

"I have things to do here and the outside world is still a bit chaotic besides if I wanted to leave, I doubt there's anyone who'd be able to stop" 

'Wait, does that mean his purposely choosing to stay here?' Roland relaxed a bit. 

Thing seemed to play out quite well, they found a person who not only gave them information and knew a way out but was gonna assist them with their escape. Roland was still skeptical but he chose not to look at a gift horse in the mouth.

Judging by his words, this also meant that there was a high chance of success.

Just when Roland was lost in his thoughts, he suddenly had a bad feeling, a lot of time had passed and he had the feeling that the day was almost over.

"Sir, I'm sorry but we need to leave before we're discovered. We'll come back tomorrow." 

"I'll help you guys up and don't worry about this hole, barely anybody comes to my cell." 

Just as the man was helping them up he stopped and turned to look at Roland and said.

"You, become my disciple!"

Roland and Fifi were startled when they heard the old man's words.
