Roland sat up and ate his food, breakfast was the same old vomit disguised as food but he swallowed it whole.

He didn't sleep since coming back from digging yesterday, there were a lot of things on his mind.

After eating Roland sat for a while before deciding to go down, today was his 'Day off'.

During the day, Fifi stayed in Cyrus's cell as he gave her guidance, but at night she prefered to sleep besides Roland, she enjoyed it very much..

Roland arrived at the bottom of the tunnel, he picked a direction and started absorbing.

Although it was frivolous, Roland remembered a quote from his previous world which taught him to preserver, If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward_-Martin Luther King Jr-.

This quote had motivated him into doing a lot of things. He lacked discipline and even though motivation wasn't the answer, it had moved him forward.

The notifications continuously rang and just like this, twenty minutes went by when suddenly, he heard something.

From the other side of the wall Roland heard the sound of metal hitting rock. It took a while because the wall was quite thick but he made an inch hole so he could inspect.

Peering through the hole, Roland saw a rocky cave with light coming in from the opening of the cave. Chained people were holding pickaxes and mining everywhere.

Roland noticed that not all of them were humans, some had red skin and horns while others had animal like traits like, wings or a tail.

'Is this pointless work or are there minerals that they are looking for?' Roland thought as he looked around.

"Hey! did you hear? apparently Elder Lu is coming back today!" A guard said

The spot Roland had opened the hole was at the usual resting spot of some guards, luckily the hole was very small and barely noticeable.

"Yeah and I heard that she's coming with an important guest" another guard said.

Roland suddenly had a bad premonition, he suddenly remembered that scary old man who almost killed him with a few slaps saying that he didn't want trouble with some old monster.

'I don't have a good feeling about this! This elder Lu might give that old man permission to dissect me!' Roland's thoughts ran wild.

Roland stopped and turned back. Using the grooves and holes he made on the wall, Roland climbed up to Cyrus's cell and took the spare robe.

"Did you find anything?" Fifi who was sitting crossed legged asked as soon as she saw Roland coming up.

"Yeah," Roland said, he then told them what he saw and speculated a few things, they talked for a bit before Roland went back down to the tunnel, this time Cyrus joined him in order to keep him safe.

"You really did a good job here but it's still quite short for me." Cyrus who was walking with his head and body tilted to the side, admired the tunnel.

Roland was in the body of a kid so he made the tunnel to his proportions and he had added a few inches of height to the tunnel but even then it wasn't enough.

They reached the hole that Roland had created earlier and Cyrus looked through, after a slight pause, he tuned around and asked," You can see in the tunnel?"

It was at this moment he realised that Roland wasn't normal. Roland was still weak after all but he could see in complete darkness.

Roland created another hole and they looked through, "Master can you handle these guys?"

"Yeah but it would be better to remain in the shadows."

Roland thought and looked around, he saw a well hidden spot and started digging the tunnel towards that area.

After ten minutes he created a meter by one meter exit, it was tight but Cyrus also squeezed out of it.

There cave was really big and spacious. There weren't that many guards, so Roland and Cyrus didn't have to worry, most of the guards there were slacking off.

One guard though, was standing in the middle of the cave with a whip, he shouted and whipped the prisoners who were slow.

'Someone give this man a raise'. Roland jokingly thought.

His whip looked short but he could whip people from a very long distance.

Roland wore his custom robe that he had cut to his size while Cyrus found another one.

"Ok, let's go survey the area" Cyrus said as he dragged Roland away.

The cave was covered in huge rocks and uneven levels of the ground. There were guards leisurely patrolling the area like some video game Npc's.

Roland and Cyrus got to a high vantage point and surveyed the area, they noticed that there was only one entrance.

Roland and Cyrus took the large passage that led outside the cave. Roland was confused so he questioned this decision," Master, I don't think that's a good idea"

"Don't worry as a famous man once said; who's going to stop me? Huh?" Cyrus suddenly said

Roland was confused when he suddenly felt the surrounding atmosphere become tensed and had a small pressure.

He was confused at first but quickly found the source of this, he didn't know how he knew but his senses told him that it was his master.

They passed a few guards and the guards felt pressure, all made way, even the guards at the gate didn't stop them.

This person was clearly a guard, a very strong one to. Whoever wants to verify his identity can go right ahead we wont stop him.

Roland and Cyrus who were fully covered in robes casually strolled out.

They appeared outside, at the bottom of a very large mountain.

Simular grey mountains were all around them, some small distance apart. The rocky area and mountains was wet but there wasn't a single vegetation is sight.

The sun in the sky was getting warmer.

Roland and Cyrus both took a deep breadth of fresh air. If their lungs could talk they would thank them as neither of them had fresh air in a long time.

Cyrus placed his hand on Roland's shoulder and they both disappeared. Cyrus jumped across the mountains, jumping from mountain wall to mountain wall.

He crossed a large distance in a short while, avoiding guards along the way. Not that they could see him but he was careful.

They quickly left the mountain range and appeared before a deep gorge. He quickly ran and jumped it in one breadth.

They stopped and Roland regained his sense of sight, he was suprised by what he saw.

Trees bigger than any tree he'd ever seen in his previous world, a plethora of plants camouflaged with every different color under the sun, beautiful and scary monster were scattered everywhere, this was a typical rainforest/ jungle.

Cyrus placed Roland down so he could walk and gain experience.

There was no walking-trail or a curtain path, so they just walked on the knee high grass.

Roland saw a lot of things that could end his life instantly, he was glad his master tagged along, if not he would have died a long time ago.

They moved straight into the forest and avoided most of the monsters, there were some monsters that lurked in the shadows and would jump at them when they got the chance, but all of them backed away very faster when they felt the pressure around Cyrus, some were even too scared to run away and would just tremble.

'I guess it was a good idea to bring this old man' Roland thought. He looked at the scared panther not far from them and asked hopefully, " Master where are we going? Are we leaving?"

Cyrus shook his head, pointed his finger up and said, "No, although you can't see it but there's a hug dome covering this place. I didn't expect that but I doubt I can break it so the next option is to look for an opening or find an exit."

Roland looked up but he didn't see anything but clear blue skies and the glowing medallion that was scolding the cold.

"Besides we can't leave your girlfriend behind." Cyrus's words quickly painted a vivid picture in Roland's mind.

"She not my girlfriend" Roland corrected but his voice didn't sound convincing. Sometime he thought back to that first night, and imagined different development of that situation.

The forest was filled with scary things, what Roland feared the most were those monsters that were was as tall as small mountains.

'Don't these animals, need a large amount of food to stay alive, I wonder how the hunts look like.' Roland wondered as scenes of mountain hunts played in his mind.

They kept travelling in a straight line when Cyrus suddenly stopped and gestured for him to keep quiet.

Cyrus pulled him towards a tree and opened a hole with one punch then disappeared and only leaving the words, "I'll be back wait here!"

'As if I have anywhere to go!' Hearing the lingering voice Roland jokingly thought as he entered the hole in the tree.

Ten minutes went by just like that when Roland suddenly heard a thud.

"Come let's feast." Cyrus's voice sounded.

On the grass laid an eagle as big as a car. Roland felt a little fearful when he saw it, even though he knew that it was already dead.

Cyrus swung his hand in mid-air, sending all the feathers on the bird flying before they landed neatly in a pile, Roland was fascinated by that.

Cyrus took down a tree with one punch and started a fire, he grabbed both legs of the now naked bird and ripped them out, he skewed them and placed them over the fire.

Roland noticed earlier that there wasn't any noticeable injury on the bird so he wondered how his master killed it.

"Master, when can we leaving this place!" Roland asked as he took a bite of the meat. Roland's eyes lit up in surprise, he couldn't help but admire the taste of the meat, he forgot his manners and munched away.

'I need to ask him for this recipy, this tastes good." This was one of the best tastes Roland had ever experience, even in his previous world.

Roland was still scared of dying in that prison, plus he didn't want to be here when that Elder Lu arrived.

"I'm not sure, maybe in a day or two. don't worry everything will be alright" Cyrus placed his hand on Roland's shoulder.

Cyrus took a bite and added,"We have to quickly explore this place and find a way out and return before they notice your gone otherwise they'll shut this place down and send a search party, which will be troublesome."

Twenty minutes later they sat off having finished the entire bird.

Although Roland had a lot, his master had the majority of about nintey-eight percent. Roland began to suspect that he may not be entirely human.

Time slowly passed and the sun reached it's peak, Roland and Cyrus were strolling through the forest when they suddenly saw a huge mountain in the distance.

Curious, Cyrus brought Roland atop a tall tree. Roland looked at the scene.

The tree tops were a contrast of green and meet with the stark blue sky on the horizon, merging perfectly.

'This would look good as a painting.' Roland thought as he felt the breeze on his face.

But there was one problem with the painting, there was a hug mountain in the distance that interrupted the scene. The mountain was silver in color, huge in size and this was from a long distance

Roland felt like if it wasn't for the dangerous beasts this place would make a nice place to live.

"Let's check it out." Cyrus said with a frantic expression.

"Master I don't think we'll make it there today" Roland voiced his concerns when he saw the distance between them and the mountain.

"Don't worry we'll be fine, let's go explore", Cyrus said with an excited expression. Roland sighed and felt a hand on his shoulder before his vision went dark.

Roland felt his body moving very fast, his stomach churned as he felt nauseous, his head started hurting as the mysterious power inside of him started bouncing around in a chaotic manner. This was the fastest he'd ever travelled or carried.

This carried on for a few minutes before it stopped, when Roland opened his eyes he could not hold back the urge and vomited, his head was spinning around.

"That's some strong power right there", Cyrus muttered to himself.

Roland who was still disoriented was concerned when he saw Cyrus's serious expression, he got himself up and asked, "Are we turning back?"

They were standing in an open area directly in front of the mountain, there were no trees nearby. Up close the mountain looked even bigger, they couldn't even see the peak of the mountain, and it's width was crazy.

Roland followed Cyrus's gaze, a large cave was prominently situated on the mountain.

"After coming all this way? No way! Give me a minute to rest and we'll move inside."Cyrus said as they sat down for a second but just then...

*Roar*

*Rumble*

A mighty roar came from the mountain, the roar was so loud that it shook the entire forest. Roland's heart pounded hard as every cell in his body screamed for him to run.

Cyrus's expression tuned sour, he quickly grabbed Roland and dashed away, he was running so fast as if it is going out of style but he then he stopped dead in his tracks...

Roland regained his vision only to see a small lion in front of them, the reason why he considered it a lion and not a cub even though it was the size of a dog, was becaise it had a hug mane and was riddled with battle scars.

The lion had it's sights on Roland, Cyrus stood in front of Roland to protect him.

The lion opened it's mouth and said, "Give me the boy!"
