Chapter 9: Strange, Modified and Spicy Goodness
----[Vache's POV]----
"Ok here you go customer one Wanmin Restaurant signature boiled fish" Xiangling stated formally and carefully as she placed a porcelain bowl that had Guoba's face as a logo. Inside the bowl was a black perch fish fully cooked, covered with a thick red color soup from the Jueyan chili peppers, topped with vegetables and slices of raw Jueyan chili for more of a kick
'Well it looks exactly the same when I played Genshin Impact' He thought to himself while the scent of the dish made his mouth water as well as tingling his body
*Nom* After taking a bite, Vache immediately had a thought of a scene from HIMYM (How I Met Your Mother) specifically when Ted Mosby finally took his first bite of bacon 'I have seen the face of god' Vache thought to himself looking above, enacting that scene.
He then continued to indulge himself at the spiciness of the delicacy, and the soft flaky texture giving a satisfied look bite after bite after bite. Vache finished the fish leaving little to no flesh and ate all the toppings as well then proceeded to pick the bowl up gulping down the spicy broth before finally finishing. It felt like Vache had one of does foodgasms and he couldn't help it after all the meal didn't disappoint.
'If they had told me it was worth 10k I would've paid in full' Vache thought as the taste of the special black back perch stew still lingered in his taste buds
But little did Vache know everyone's attention has been focused on him for quite a while since he ate his meal. Noticing it at last Vache tilted his head expressing confusion with the discovery of unwanted attention 'Hmm? What are they looking at?' He could see some milelith soldiers, costumers, civilians and even Xiangling and Chef Mao looking at him with disbelief but he could care less as he stood up from his seat and grabbed up his backpack
'Thank you for the good meal' He expressed his gratitude in his head as he goes to his next stop, Liyue Harbor's Adventurer's Guild Branch to become an Adventurer
Unbeknownst to Vache his system underwent maintenance that he leveled up by 5 levels.

How you may wonder well, in the transcendent realm of the "Abundance" , Yaoshi is currently occupied chatting with a lady wearing a kimono embroidered with images of countless insects. Her face is covered with a masquerade mask giving off a sharp mysterious aura as she pays close attention to Yaoshi's monologue as a screen that seems to project Vache's current activities (in Wanmin Restaurant) can be seen in the background playing
"And that's how Tailor is now in Teyvat with his system" Yaoshi needed to take a drink as she was exhausted due to taking little to no breaths manifesting two cups of Darjeeling tea. One for her and one for the masked lady.
Serene silence befell the domain as both took their time enjoying the exquisite taste of the served refreshments after that the tranquil sounds enveloped domain continuing their lovely chat (Yaoshi mainly speaking while her guest was mostly listening) until finally
"Yaoshi I want to ask you something" The masked lady asked Yaoshi kindly as her demeanor became more commanding but was still formal
"Sure Tazyrronth, ask away" The masked lady was Tazyrronth another one of the 18 Aeons or should I say one of the many vessels of "Propagation".
"What's the required EXP needed in the system you created for the soul to level up from 1 to 10?" Yaoshi answered as Tazyrronth finished saying her question replying with "About 500 exp (Lvl.1) up to 5000 (Lvl. 10)" Yaoshi said nonchalantly
Before Tazyrronth gave a response, she had another cup of tea gulping it all in one serving then putting the cup down as she breathed in and out "Are you an idiot!?" Tazyrronth exclaimed as she couldn't hold her anger that she flipped the table and the tea cups
"Sorry?" Yaoshi helplessly asked as she was feeling a little uncomfortable and quivering internally while thinking to herself 'What did I do?'
"Wha-" Before Yaoshi could say her thoughts she was interrupted by Tazyrronth who seemed really impatient "What did you do? Simple, you out did the dumbest thing to the guy's (Vache's) system!!!If your system is similar to those in many video games so you know damn well that a player's leveling system should be easy to level up in their early game you moron especially in levels 1 to 10!!!" Tazyrronth exclaimed ridiculing Yaoshi for her incompetence
"Wait, I gave a fair requirement for level though" Yaoshi refuted but Tazyrronth countered back "Well it would've made sense if it weren't for the fact that he's playing in real life not in virtual reality!!" Tazyrronth stated loudly as she massaged her forehead as she had the worst migraine talking to Yaoshi.
"Oh" Yaoshi then realized that she screwed up. Tazyrronth was right. There's no way he would fight monsters in real life even if they are the weakest ones in the hierarchy of enemies in Genshin and it was only logical for Vache to go to a safer place and avoid danger. A while later after Tazyrronth left... Yaoshi accessing Vache's system to modify the EXP requirements she took her opinion very seriously. After it was done the modifications were immediately applied to Vache's system.
"I hope you do well Vache" Yaoshi murmured while glancing at modified status board
----[Hu Tao POV]----
'Finally I found you Qiqi' I giggled as I found my little zombie friend, Qiqi, I then continued my thoughts 'It's time to finally bury you at long last' Hu Tao said to herself with good intentions
Wait how in the world does she have good intentions on burying your friend who's still 'alive'? Is she crazy in the head? Everyone who encountered her would absolutely say yes!!! But!!! She really has good intentions. Hu Tao grew up with the lesson that when mortals die you send them off with happiness not with grief this mentality has been a part of previous directors' mentality before she took the role of the 77th head of Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. She only wants to send off Qiqi, her friend in peace that's all but Qiqi only thinks of it as a bad thing since she doesn't want to be buried.
"Got you no-" I didn't know why but I just stopped moving towards Qiqi 'Strange why is there something different' Hu Tao wondered what this odd sensation she was getting from Qiqi not realizing the little zombie was making a run for it after seeing her.
Qiqi may not have a good memory due to her being a zombie and all that but she certainly can't forget the person the pesters her like the grim reaper
"Damn! Don't run away Qiqi I promise to send you off properly!!" Hu Tao exclaimed as she chased after Qiqi disregarding the odd feeling for now
Qiqi:No, Qiqi doesn't want to get buried!!!
