As I started to read the journal, things started to make sense. Well, as much sense as a realm dedicated to things that could change on a whim. This whole realm was made to be a safe haven for this family. They never said the names of the children they were protecting but it went into depth on what else everything could do.
The whole realm was made as a beginner training ground to train their family in chaos energy. It was made from a thousand years worth of their energy. They had to slowly also work back from the beginning as well. This whole place was a chaos core from a god-level being.
It noted the growth of R and B in depth filled with nothing but love and praise. They were talented in mastering the energy and creatures that were being generated. R loved the blade and the thrill of the fight. If there was blood to be shed and the thrill of a hunt, they were there. Now B could handle themself but did not like blood.
They were about making peace and being diplomatic. Where ever B went, they could take over with ease just by using politics. But if their bottom line was touched, they could be just as ruthless as R. Smiling; I felt excited reading about their journey wishing I could be at that level of power.
Time kept on passing as tales of their journey spanned multiple pages. But that is when I finally stumbled on to the end. The true purpose of this place was a weapon. It would grow the chaos energy making all kinds of creatures to build an army. They would have rabbits that looked normal but could change their meat into poison.
My eyes widened as I realized everything I ate was technically supposed to be poisoned. As I read deeper it said that they needed orders before they would become poisonous which made me let out a sigh of relief. But there were many creatures that were supposed to give off different looks to surprise enemies and destroy them before they could figure out what happened.
I craved this weapon more than anything else. If I could merge this with my chaos core, I would have a battalion of creatures at my command. That's when an eye opened up on the book and a booming voice reverberated in my mind.
"Do you dare take the challenge and claim me child?" The voice was sinister and the book was radiating a thick killing intent as if trying to get me to back down.
"I accept. I need this power to cement my future. There is no way I will back down." My voice quivered but my resolve did not waver at all. Even if I died trying I was willing to put everything on the line for this army.
Laughter rang out as my vision darkened as the world shifted. "Very well… May you survive the challenges."
I opened my eyes and I saw a shocking sight. I was lying at the bottom of the stairs on cold concrete still with my family. The only reason I knew I was back on earth was due to the familiar cold walls surrounding me. My heart was pounding. Was I back home? Was everything just a dream?
"L-lexi? Status?" My voice was raspy and it felt like I had not drank water in ages. There was no response at all. Fear started to overwhelm me as I heard the basement door open.
"Insolent daughter. If you were good and did not try to run away, we would not need to punish you." My bald father approached me smashing his foot onto my knee making me scream out in pain. My body was not strong anymore as if nothing changed.
It was the day that I escaped from my home but I guess everything was a dream. My eyes dimmed as my father commenced one of his beatings. I felt my bones ach as blow after blow landed on me. After what felt like ages he stopped and looked at me.
"We have decided to marry you off to Eric. Their family is willing to spend a good penny for you. They want to raise you to be the perfect bride. They will be here in a week. As long as you don't piss me off you should make it." My father spits at me one last time before going up the stairs leaving me alone.
I closed my eyes trying to remember what I could about Eric. If this was when I thought I escaped I was only about 11 right now. He was a greasy scumbag about 28. There were a lot of rumors on the street about him kidnapping girls and beating them.
Letting out a sigh I had no idea what to do. I'm just a weak little girl with no magic no weapons. Closing my eyes due to the pain I decided to rest. Maybe I should give up everything is pointless. Tears streamed down my face as I fell asleep.
Apael POV
It has been a long month and Amadea has been gone for her training. Her father left as well to go somewhere not letting us know what was happening. I have been feeling lonely since she left. I always wanted to protect her and not care about her strength but seeing how weak she was I knew she needed to do something to make herself feel safe.
I kept having dreams ever since I was a child. It started out with meeting a strange battered woman covered in wounds. I would bring her home and treat her. It seemed like her memories were shattered but we slowly fell in love. After a couple of years we started to try and have a family.
She admitted to gaining memories of her father and how she contacted him. Apparently, he scolded her for our love and stripped her of her status. But it was okay with me; I did not need her to have a status of any kind. There was obviously more to it since she seemed to get weaker with time.
I had the strength to protect her from most of the things around us so it did not matter much to me. She wanted to carry children so we started looking for magic or a potion to give me a futa ability so we could reproduce.
Those dreams always made me feel happy but in the end, our family perished. It always hurts waking up to that sadness. But they suddenly stopped after meeting Amadea. I felt like everything was clicking and felt good. That is also why I did not try to stop her from claiming me in her heightened state. Something inside me wanted her to claim me and I wanted to claim her.
