Chapter 46 Worry

 Apael POV

Seeing Ama run off like a scared rabbit brought a smile to my face. I decided not to chase her and slowly made my way to the teleportation array. I wanted to give her a surprise so I headed to the kingdom of greed first. Since I knew what I wanted to get her it would be a relatively quick trip only taking me a few hours.

Making my way to the shop I bought two rings that were enchanted. It was a complex lust enchantment that bound two people together. The main aspect of the ring was you could find your partner wherever they were and know how they were, whether they were feelings or their health.

They were made so they could only be put on with the other parties consent to avoid an old issue of forced slavery. Now that I had my rings I quickened my pace to the capital. Right after I left the teleporter the entire kingdom started to shake as black tendrils started to make cracks in the ground.

My first instinct was to make it to the castle as soon as possible. As I rushed towards the castle demons were taking up arms preparing to fight. I was scared that it was a massive invasion but luckily most of the stronger demons took residence here making it easier to defend.

Finally making it to the castle I heard Amadea's gut-wrenching scream. It sent chills down my spine. Increasing my speed to the max I followed her screams to the prison. As soon as I arrived I saw Ren and the other 6 sins gathered around her as the crystal array for the city defenses was being pulled into her body with some sort of black orb.

As it kept getting closer I could see her flesh being torn apart with the raw power. Without hesitating I tried to grab the crystal array and stop it from entering her body. Once my hands touched it I felt the electric shock trying to repel me and stop me from pulling it away.

Ignoring the pain to the best of my abilities I kept on trying to pull but the crystals kept moving forward unable to be slowed even by a fraction of a second. The electrical power kept growing until I was finally flung away.

As the crystal started to penetrate her flesh her screaming stopped. But on closer inspection, it was easy to tell she was still screaming by the veins bulging on her neck. The only reason the noise stopped was most likely due to the force destroying her vocal cords making her unable to even vent her pain through her screams.

My heart ached seeing her in so much pain and as time went on the violent trembling of the kingdom finally stopped once the crystals were all deep inside her body. Letting out a deep sigh I picked he up feeling her shallow breathing.

As my heart was still in turmoil I brought her to my bedroom and laid her gently on my bed. I returned for her bag grabbing the blanket she was using the most recently. Once I returned I bandaged her bare muscles to help with any discomfort. After she was completely bandaged, I covered her completely with her blanket before setting off for the demon lord's audience chamber to meet with the others.

Everyone was in their own seats. Even Ren was sitting amongst the other lords, making me scoff. "What gives an old man like you the right to sit with us lords? Ama might respect you and treat you as an advisor but with her out you do not have the right to be here."

The other demon lords echoed my sentiment and chastised Ren as well. After venting my frustration verbally on him I turned my head to the other lords and began discussing the events that had happened.

Karma stood up from his seat looking at all of us before speaking. "My kingdom has moved about a mile north of the capital. We had a lot of structural damage but with the strength of the troops we should be able to repair it within a month. Other than this there have been reports of increased sinergy and a new energy source that is unknown to us."

Once he sat back down Oria stood up to give her report. "My kingdom has moved to the North east we have the same reports to damage but no one really wants to try and fixing the issues. We are implementing forced labor to try and get our kingdom back up. It will take us about 3 months to get everything up to normal operations."

Next Invid stood up beginning her report. "My kingdom has no real damage and can continue normal operations. We can spare some help to other kingdoms to hasten their recovery. Currently we are located to the east."

Mon stood up looking quite smug. "All of our buildings are in perfect condition. We only used the best of the best. We will help finance some resources to improve the other kingdoms' infrastructure to increase there durability. We are currently situated to the southeast."

Koil stood up looking grim. "We are currently to the south. We took heavy damage to crops and livestock. The food situation for the kingdom looks quite grim. We only have a surplus to last us a month. We will need to pillage some resources from the outside or our people will slowly start to go hungry."

Ayepe did not bother even to stand up just looking up at us. "We are in the west. We have a lot of damage, and most of the demons slept through the whole shift. It will take us about a year to get everything back into operations."

Nodding I stood up. "I will activate an invasion array and try to get us a healer for Ama and some food rations. Ren since you have no role here the least you can do is come with me and help."

He gave a small nod before going off to prepare for our invasion. While he went to prepare I made my way back to Ama and held her hand gently in my palm. It pained me to see her like this and I could only hope we can get a healer as soon as possible and get her back on her feet.

She looked peaceful but even now she was in such a state her father was nowhere to be found to help. I let out a soft sigh giving her a gentle kiss on her forehead. With this weird energy spreading through the kingdoms and increased sinergy everywhere the future seemed chaotic and unknown. Hopefully it will be for the best but only time will tell.
