losing one's parents is like losing a compass even if they didn't directly guide you. they still indirectly and filled the directions of which you took for The young child of shadows he had yet keep to himself as much as possible. some soldiers taking time away from the warfront would occasionally visited into town to get food or seek entertainment to the strike themselves from the war effort on time. in order to get a good idea of the situation, he would visit the war zone and see who is winning or what kinds of losses were happening or how far the battlefield had spread. it was on one faithful day that he had spotted an interesting sound. it was a soldier likely and the other who had fallen but this one somehow had managed to have taken severe damage to both of his arms and legs. he was crippled in unable to move yet no one had bothered to kill him a lot of his fellow soldiers with either walk around or on top of his body and when it came time for retreat the demons his parents grave, the shadow remembered a tale from their past who is not too long back during their journeys before he was conceived. they had visited an interesting kingdom like no other. at first appearance many would think it's just a kingdom surrounded by stone walls, but upon entering they discovered that all of the citizens within that city we're golems each golem exhibiting a regular human personality spending days in the city observing the golems we learned a lot like. for instance, the leader of the town was a mage and the golems himself were actually pieces of the major personality that he had embedded in golems in a attempt to become a mortal thinking about it, the shadow felt maybe the mage could develop limbs for the crippled soldier deciding it as an opportunity so he visited his village to see if he could borrow a satchel to carry the crippled soldier with. then they said off for the stone city mentioned golems from place to praise all of them either gardening building or constructing magical items all around there were even buildings and structures of different nature. and occasionally you'd see apprentice mages studying under the master mage who ran the town attempting to make an appointment with the head mage. he was unfortunately busy so he used the opportunity to look around and see if there were any other options available. arriving at the hospital ran by golems in a few majors. maybe it's excited to give it a try. between the two of them, the soldier had some funds given to him as part of his warrior stipend and the shadow had a little cash up. he had brought with him from the reserves his parents had left behind. they had a mage take a look at him at the hospital. the manage offered a few opportunities but nothing that would compare to what the head mage can do after a moving his arms and legs. the mage enchanted the warriors armor to operate in conjunction with his mind. at first it look like it was working but every time the enchantment ran out of it energy the armor would fall off of his body The enchantments would only last half an hour so after 30 minutes of use the arm would fall off his body they came up with the way to sell this issue but it was a bit more complicated. the mountain that's the core of this town produces a special ore. this material can absorb and store magic. they use it to make the golems that run the town in order to make the enchantments last longer. they took some of the material and made an orb that they mounted onto his limbs. then they would mount the armor onto the orbs. the orbs will be in charge of storing enough energy to power the enchantments and then the The enchantments could siphon off the energy passively over the course of the day. at first it was working but there were still things at the soldier couldn't do. he could move around his arms and even manipulate his fingers, but he could not really control the speed of his movement nor lift objects, especially heavy ones. he inquired with the doctors about that issue but they said that it was that he was not used to using this form of limbs. once he's gotten some practice in he should be able to of the town going about 30 ft in the air and four fountains surrounding it. it was really made to be your lavish. no one was allowed inside of that. may just tower especially when he wasn't around and unfortunately during the time of all this it would appear that the head made had been called away on urgent business. with the money lost the two attempted to become minors in order to earn wages mining the ore used to make the golems and other magical items was rather tedious. sometimes you'd get a large chunk. sometimes you get small chunks and if you're not careful when mining these chunks, it could cause a chain reaction which would detonate the entire tunnel causing people to get trapped inside The tour of them were struggling to mine. the soldier was having difficulty controlling his limbs and the armor was not made of a solid enough material for mining or industrial use in the shadow kid didn't have many muscles to speak of and had a hard times wielding the pickaxe. the cave themselves were rather dark, kind of damp and unnaturally hot. The guy in charge of the excavation explains that all of the materials in this cave generate heat due to the amount of magic energy it absorbs throughout the day. the deeper you go in the more sweltering it feels continuing the excavation they reach the point within the mining tunnel that they discovered a cavern and within it something unexpected. a. crystal demon the demon appeared to the hibernating within the mountain and was wicked by the sudden collapse of the wall revealing the cavern how to fear the situation and not having anything to handle the demon. they all retreated from the cave but the demon broke out The village was in a panic. the security golems tried to stop the crystal demon but it's skin was too tough to harm and when the light from the sun touch the crystal demon of lining, light shot and all directions making it hard to look at. I'm not sure what to do. the major started fleeing while the golems attempted to cover their escape. the soldier feeling determined and try to take the golem head on. he runs had it with full speed. trying to grapple it, but the crystal demon smacks him back with its tail. the shadow child watches from the distance. seeing if you can find an opening to help out the soldier getting hit with a tail grabs it and then attempt at restraining it. the demon tries to reclaim its tail, but the soldiers group was too strong. the demon goes in a bite his shoulder, but from underneath the two the shadow kid appears from below for the first into the demon's face The crystals on its back began to generate enormous heat. the soldier holds on with everything he's got but the metal his armors made out of starts melting. not even's tail starts to wiggle lose me incantation start to weaken due to the damage of the armor The shadow kit sinks back into his shadow and the soldier. let's go of the tail. his armor is barely intact and he has a hard time moving his hands and feet The soldier goes in for a punch this time but the demon roars and Crystal's rise from the ground blocking his attack. the Chris is also start to generate an enormous amount of heat melting his armor even further it almost seem like the demon knew what it was doing. the soldier had to retreat being at risk of losing his armor and is only form of mobility The shadow kid began to aggressively counter jumping in and out of shadows attacking the demon whenever it gave an opening. all the demon could do in response was roar and try to shield itself with more crystals. suddenly from above a magical beam strikes the demon disoriented it looks up to confirm its attacker in the air is a swab looking individual laying around the long cloak. the demon roars the cloaked individual but the soldier overtakes him from behind clenching it's mouth shut with both his arms The crystals on the demon's back puncture, the soldiers, shoulders and the heat from the crystals cause the searing pain the soldier holds on for his life, keeping the demon from moving on its belly being the only part not covered in crystals. the shadow kid digs a triangular blade deep within it's body.
