Elara, sensing the weight of the emotions filling the room, gently nudged the conversation in a new direction. "Solan," she began, her tone warm but with a certain firmness, "Your father and I need some time to catch up. We'll be in our captain's quarters."

Solan, ever the understanding son, rose from his seat and nodded respectfully. "Of course, mother." He then approached Caden, his eyes locking onto his father's for a moment. With a mixture of relief and sincerity, he murmured, "Love you, Dad. I'm so glad you're back."

Caden, overwhelmed, pulled his son into a brief but tight embrace. As they parted, he whispered, "I missed you, my boy."
