Chapter 32: He's a celebrity.
" He looks like one." He grinned at me,
" I'll head for class now." I wanted him to start going before he brought more attention to us.
" Hey Lis, who is this?" Came Liam's voice, ' Oh no, too late.'
I turned around immediately and saw Liam walking towards me, I wished immediately that Hads was there as well she would handle Liam for me.
" Good morning Liam, meet Tommy" I introduced him to Tommy the moment he got to where I stood, I turned in Tommy's direction as well and introduced Liam " Tommy meet Liam."
They stood staring at each other more like glaring at each other, Liam glared at Tommy suspiciously while Tommy just looked at him with a grin on his face. I wanted to say something to interrupt the silent conversation they were having but I didn't know how or what to say to them.
" OMG!!! That's one lovely car!" It was Had's voice, the relief I felt knew no bounds. " Hey Lis, hey Liam, Hey stranger." She greeted Liam and me with a hug and shook the stranger.
" Hads met Tommy" I introduced. " Nice to meet you Tommy" She smiled at Tommy. Hads has always been great at making friends, she sees the good in every person. Well, the one person I knew she never got along with was of course my step-sister Abigail.
" Nice to meet you too Hadassah." Tommy replied, he turned to me before saying " I'll get going Lisa, see you at HOME " He winked at me as he stressed the home part. ' Damn it, he had to emphasise the home part.' He was leaving into the car when Hads stopped him.
" Excuse me sir, but who are you?" Was looking at him suspiciously like Liam now. " Hads let's go for class I'll explain on the way." I nudged at her but she didn't move, she just kept looking at Tommy waiting for an answer. I forgot this part of Hads, she was extremely stubborn when she was in her protective mode. Tommy just stared at her for a while before he smiled.
" Am her husband's son " I gasped and he grinned, he was enjoying himself at the expense of my peace with no remorse.
" What!??? " Liam and Hads chorused, before both turning in my direction. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before opening them and giving Tommy a dirty look. He raised his hands immediately and smirked. ' Am gonna revenge, I will but before that how do I handle this?'
" He came from Paris to visit Mr. Asher yesterday" I simply explained. But Hads was nowhere close to satisfied,
" Tell her husband her friends want to meet him, or doesn't he want to know who his wife hangs out with." She was glaring at him now and was transferring her annoyance for the old man to him. Tommy nodded "Okay" but she wasn't satisfied " One more thing, We want to see your face." Hads demanded.
" I can't do that right now, I don't want any scandal at the moment, when you come you'll see" He smiled again.
" What are you some kind of celebrity?" Hads scoffed, which just made Tommy laugh, he looked at her like he found her amusing. He nodded and turned walking to the driver's seat, opened the door and sat down. Just when he started the car, Hads rushed to him. He rolled down when she knocked and without warning, she yanked his face mask away, I gasped in shock. I hadn't imagined she would do something like that, Tommy was more shocked, I guess he didn't imagine my friend to be that crazy. She just stared at her unable to do or say anything, she was beyond surprise. " What the ..." I heard Liam mutmutterhind me, 'Why are they so surprised, what am I missing? ' But
" Oh... My... God, am not dreaming am, I? " Hads looked shocked but before she could say another thing Tommy zoomed off. She stood still like she had seen a ghost so Liam and I rushed to her." Do you know who he is?" I was eager to get an answer but Hads was still dazed and wouldn't do a thing. I turned to Liam instead, he seemed to know who Tommy was from the expression on his face.
" Liam? Who is Tommy? You seem to know him."
" Are you kidding me, how can you not know him?" I think he thought I was joking but I seriously couldn't remember though it felt like I knew who he was.
" I could have sworn the man in the car right now was Thompson Frederick but then again what would he be doing here? But how would any have that car right now?" I heard a girl mutter as she walked past us. It occurred to me then that I had a phone, I took out my phone and searched his name. I didn't need to look long since his picture appeared immediately with his name. I was the one gasping now " What??? No way " I was in complete shock, no wonder I kept feeling like I knew him. " He's indeed a celebrity." I heard myself saying in awe.
" You didn't know he was the Tommy " Liam asked when he saw the surprised expression on my face too.
" I seriously didn't remember, no wonder I kept feeling like I knew him," I murmured. " I can't believe I just met the Thompson Frederick, am I dreaming? " Hads still couldn't believe who she just met. She suddenly snapped out of it and held both my hands
" Why didn't you tell me, Lis? I can't believe what I just did to him, he must be so angry. What if they take it out on you, Oh no what do I do? " She was panicking, " Snap out of it Hadassah." Liam hadn't said anything since Hads got there.
" Don't worry, he won't do anything to me okay? " I tried to assure her. " You know what they say about him on the news, Thompson Frederick and Xavier Scott are two people one never ought to mess with coupled with the fact that he is Asher's son." She explained still worried, how do I explain to her he was nothing like they say on the news. Or was I the one mistaken?
