Seeing the pesky human lying on the ground looking weak and powerless, the demonic shark lunged forward. It couldn't wait any longer to tear apart his flesh and break all his bones to smithereen.

Out of the blue, before the monster fish could touch him, Dante's weakening body suddenly shook, and then a massive amount of blinding energy burst out like a shockwave.

The demonic shark failed to react in time to defend itself. As a result, it was hit by it. The shockwave of blinding energy took down the demonic shark in the blink of an eye.

The demonic shark could not even fathom what happened to it. It died without realizing how it died.

Dante could not process as well what had just happened. However before he could clarify what had just transpired, his vision suddenly blurred. It seemed suddenly he couldn't feel his entire body. Not even his finger. As though he was a conscious being with no actual body. He couldn't feel his blood circulating as well; he could not feel anything at all.

At that moment, he heard footsteps. Then a startled voice came.

"Eh? You… you are… What… What's happened here? That's…"

Dante's blurry vision looked at the figure. It seemed like he was hallucinating. Although blurry, the figure who approached him somewhat looked familiar. He was wearing a peculiar outfit. Like one who is ready for combat.

Is that a specialized battlesuit? Dante's inner thoughts.

Dante wanted to warn him about the danger, but his voice could not come out. He hadn't even realized that the remains of the demonic shark were lying right beside him.
