A call from Killian in the middle of the night awakened me. “Killian, why are you calling me and we are in the same house?”


“Are you f*cking kidding me?” I sat up on the bed.


“I am at Vance’s apartment. But I promise to be home before Amanda and Caylan wake up.”


“What do you need?” I asked, rubbing at my tired eyes.


“Go to the CIA tomorrow morning. Pretend to have a meeting with Zelda Hans. I managed to listen to a conversation between Arran and Vance. We need to replace the earring in the evidence locker room. Liaise with Zoya. She was sloppy during the mafia hotel takedown.”


“F*ck,” I groaned, running a hand through my hair.


“Yeah. I have no idea how she managed to convince Captain Ace to give it to her. We need to slip it back in and not rely on them. Ask Maurice to help if need be.”


“Go back to sleep.” He disconnected the call.
