Chapter 8: Going Out

After that day grandfather had both men busy, and I was just a pro at dodging them. If I noticed they were inside the house in a certain area I was in the other or outside. Issac was working on the roof most of the time, so I had gotten up to water the flowers and garden before he worked on the roof. Roger was busy doing chores for grandfather, so he was kept rather busy. This avoid dance kept up for two weeks.

I was in the front hall on my phone talking to one of my friends that were in the area.

"So tonight, we are all going to the movies." Gwen said excitedly.

"I am happy for you." I said with my arm across my chest, my hand holding my elbow as I held the cell phone to my ear. I stood with my weight on one leg as I talked to her. Today I was in a light purple sun dress with matching sandals.

"Oh, come on, Rozy. I met someone that would match you perfectly." She sounded too excited about me meeting this someone.

"I am going to assume this someone is a male." I said low.
