"What do you care?" I said sarcastically.
"So, how long do you think your mother will last?" 
I shrugged.
"That's an adult matter," I replied.

Christmas break and I was not looking forward to it. Issac came with his still girlfriend and her 'brother' with them. Mom and dad forbade me to be in my room all the time, so I was with them when they greeted them at the door. My arms folded; my eyes averted. I felt those amber eyes on me as I stayed away from them at the front door. I didn't even pay attention to what they were saying until my arms were unfolded from in front of me, my hand lifted to lips as I gasped looking up at the amber eyes.


"Little miss Rozy." Keith said a gleam to his eyes. "I hope we can become friends while we are here this time." I jerked my hand away from him, giving him a mean look.


"You'll have to pardon Rozy. She doesn't like gatherings." Mom tried to apologize for me.


"Don't apologize for me!" I yelled. "I meant what I said. If I didn't, it wouldn't have been said! Stay the hell away from me!"
