"I am going to take the fact that you didn't send me away a good sign." I jumped as I heard him right behind me. How does he keep doing that? I turned just as slowly to him, my hands nervously clamped tightly in front of me. I looked up at his green eyes as his arms were over his chest. He stood so straight, so tall, that he easily overtook my small 5'4 frame.
"Not exactly." I said low. "It just means I didn't feel like making a scene in front of my friends."
"And what does this scene entail?" He asked his eye lids low as his grass eyes watched me. I sighed, rubbing my head before pushing the glasses up my nose and rubbing my neck. I looked at him, keeping my hand there.
"Yelling, arguing, sarcasm, info they didn't need to hear..."
"Or seeing you get upset?"
I shrugged slightly looking away from him at the floor.
"Something like that." My heart was already beating against my rib cage. I was waiting for the lack of oxygen, as he kept his distance.
