Chapter 43: Dinner with the Enemy

Mama kitty and her two boys were doing great. She ate some turkey I had in the fridge and started to investigate the house. I had placed a box full of sand close to her basket. She gathered the concept of potty box as she used it. She was a very pretty smart cat. It tore me apart to think she was abandoned.

I had let Issac know that I was going out with friends. He didn’t ask who, just for me to have a good time and to message him when I got home. I almost cried knowing it was Keith I was going out to dinner with. I had to keep telling myself it was nothing.

At six o'clock exactly, my doorbell rang. I sighed. I wore a black knee length skirt with a deep red blouse. It wasn’t fancy at all but if I knew him, he was going to go to one of those types of places. I grabbed my purse and opened the door. He was wearing a pair of black jeans and a jacket with a shirt underneath.
